surferjap, get a life, thats all you can think to comment on someone, about their looks, wow... what a fan to have... this song is great, short and sweet although i think the meaning is dark. i think it could be about when he moved from portland to los angeles and the life he soon had afterwards. My words can't even come close to how great a song this is, but i never get tired of it. Elliott, thanks for the great music and lyrics, i miss you a lot. I think many people do.. Heres to you!! |

This song has nothing to do with drugs, come on!! Are people always looking for something just to get away from the real meaning. Read between the lines people. It's about love!!! HELLO!!!!! I think its about the guys perspective saying how hes losing the only thing hes done right recently in his life. He's saying if they just leave "whevever", they could make it, but it seems "impossible by his words (at least, at the current time).." Light up, light up, i think that means he's telling her not to be sad and that things will work out in the "end" if its meant to be. "I can hardly speak & why you can't raise your voice to say" i think means both are speechless when they are parting ways, haven't we all been in a similiar situation? Where we all hope but it just isnt the right time in one or both our lives.. When we said goodbyes, he's clearly talking about crying as some people have mentioned. It's really amazing how much emotion this song has, i really love this song! "even if you cannot hear my voice, i'll be right beside you dear" i think means, even if we're apart, know i/we still love each other and we linked soulwise forever. hopefully we'll reunite in the end, as we all hope. |
