Kele says it's about his "greatest fear" - the lyrics conjure up some pretty violent images in certain parts. |

Which would make sense if he simple said "jack the ball" but clearly there are more words thrown in there. And he wouldn't be able to "jack" the ball (meaning "steal" like your interp) after sacking someone since they'd be ruled down.
Rivers you're killing me! Stick to soccer. |

"Brother *of* the ball"?
That doesn't make sense. To me it sounds like "brother with the ball," but that's pretty racist. And it wouldn't make sense had he already sacked the quarterback. |

The arts and crafts line and marrying a beyottchhh part make this song incredible. So good. |

I don't understand how some people think this is about a relationship. I just think this is such a straight-forward tale of a woman who's out of her sexual youth and is looking back on how things used to be. The lyrics, the title... all pretty evident.
But, regardless, brilliant lyrics. The entire album is great. |

Also, might the "Got a fear of the ocean" line mean that he's afraid of testing the waters per say? In regards to the broken marriage theories? |

To me the song just is about someone leaving/being left by their significant other and being extremely relieved about it. Very good tune. |

I don't really think it's cheesy, Kez. If it was made purposely for the show, then yeah, it would be.
When I first heard this song when it was first released I thought it was alright but, after hearing it constantly on "Smallville," it really started to grow on me. Good song. |
