First off to those of you who think this song is about drugs.. that is rediculous. The Doors are known to have redone classical songs (Alabama song was from Morrison's favorite musical). And to further dismiss any ideas about this being about drugs, The Doors didnt do any hard drugs other than acid and the occasional coke, no heroin and meth wasnt really around back then... besides this song was made for the Waiting for the Sun album, and that is at the end of their career, which is when Morrison dived into alcohol, not drugs... dont just assume shit like that |
