| My Chemical Romance – You Know What They Do To Guys Like Us In Prison Lyrics

I'm not sure why there's so much discussion about what this song is about. I mean the band has said it. Go to yahoo launch and listen to the interview and Gerard even says that the song is about prison rape. And if you listen to this song on the myspace site Gerard says again that "this song is about getting sodomized in jail...if you guys are into that".
What I love about this song is that even though it's really a very dark song about what can go on in jail it's horribly catchy and sounds super upbeat. And the part at the end with "Take it like a man" and then the screaming and Bert's giggle is just awesome.
And yes the thought of Bert and Gerard making out is awesome but please stop talking about it here. That's not what this site is for. |

"I wanna see what you're insides look like/I bet you're not fucking pretty on the inside" how cool are those lines. I was so happy when I found this song. I wish that it came on the regular version of the album. I love this song so much!!!! *spazz* "Puck up the phone, fucker!!" Awesomeness |

To 'You'll be a memory':
Please don't just assume your opinion is right and insult everyone else's. Unless you can show us proof that what you said came directly from the bands mouth as a fact don't just say you're right when there is a great possibility you're not. Thanks very much |

It's horrible that there's so few comments for this song. I agree with what someone else said. This and "Thank You For The Venom" are the best on the album. I love the lyrics of this song more though. I think the best part of the song is "The angels just cut out her tongue/Call her black mariah/Would I lie to you? This girl's not right in the brain! Mass convulsions, strike the choir/By the grace of God/Gun it while I'm holding on!". I love that part of the song. Whenever I get to that part I start the song over again so I can hear those lines multiple times. For some reason whenever listening to this song though I like to picture Gerard being in the car and chasing down the girl in the desert. Like a rusty red convertible with the top down speeding through the desesrt, with...Frank or something driving, and holding onto a cool looking rifle. They car's swerving around and Gerard's holding on for dear life and trying to point the gun at the girl. I'm not sure. That's just the weird way my mind works. :D. |

| My Chemical Romance – Honey, This Mirror Isn't Big Enough for the Two of Us Lyrics

I'm not quite sure if this song is mainly just a "breakup" song. In my opinion song it really isn't about an ex-girlfriend at all. This song seems to be all about vanity and putting up a false images for others. The person the guy is so upset with is himself. This is just my opinion so don't yell and curse at me if you don't agree, but here is my theory. The main character of the song is furious with himself for having this "beauty that I'm faking". He argues with himself throughout the course of the song and warns this fake version of himself not to "touch his brother" or "keep his friends". That's my opinion anyway. |

| My Chemical Romance – I Never Told You What I Do For a Living Lyrics

Not to be rude but you guys need to stop criticsing the lyrics on this page. Don't nit pick over every little thing. But my view of this song was that it didn't really have to do with the concept directly. It seemed more of a seperate storyline to me. About a man who goes around and murders select victims. With the lines "Another night and I'll see you/One other night and I'll be you/Some other way to continue to hide my face". To me it seemed to about his man's struggle to continue hiding and killing people and then living their lives for a short while. And in the man's opinion he's doing them a favor in a way and feels that "It's better off this way...And we'll love again and we'll laugh again/We'll try again and we'll dance again/and it's better off this way/So much better off this way". I'm guessing the victims he's choosing lead lives without anyone close to them so he's taking their lives and doing what he can in the short amount of time to make 'their' lives better. And in the end of the song when he is shot and he says "WE'RE all dead now" he's referring to the fact that all of the people he has killed are all really, truely dying at that moment. When he himself is killed all the people whose lives he has taken over are ending. This is just my opinion but it is something I have stuck by since my first time hearing the song. I think this is a great way to end the album and I always enjoyed it. Plus you get to hear Mister Gerard Way say "I'm so dirty babe" so the song should get it's brownie points for that alone. But it's a superbly written song and is incredibly catchy. Great way to end the album. It would be assume if that could be a future single and they'd make a video for it. Hint hint MCR. ;) |

I find the interlude really interesting. It's unique and it's a lovely way of having the transition between songs. It's serves as a nice opener for "Thank You For The Venom" plus it really purty! :D I think it was a smart idea on their part. |
