If people think this song is degrading to women then they should listen to some 50 cent! Go on: www.chavscum.co.uk I agree this song is about dickheads. Dickheads that believe so strongly that the way they act is okay and could never be made to think otherwise. They are materialistic and have no real passion or love. I think at times they can seem heartless and the things that they really give a shit about have no depth. The last verse is about knowing people with these characteristics but just accepting it because you have known them since you were a kid and you feel like you can't critiscise them. Like most of the arctic monkeys' songs it describes 'real life' situations that i can understand and relate to. Even his voice helps create a sense of familarity - being from Leeds and most of my family coming from and living in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. This album is absolutley 100% AMAZING. |
