My 2nd favorite Lifehouse song (Storm). It's definitely about God. "Why would I chase your shadow all my life? And be afraid of my own I'd rather be with you I'd rather not know Where I’ll be and be alone and convinced that I know" This talks about chasing God's "shadow", which I would call sin. He's basically saying that rather than be obsessed with his own sin, he'd rather not know what he's missing and be with God. This is more evident in the chorus. "When the world keeps spinning round My world’s upside down And I wouldn't change a thing I’ve got nothing else to lose I lost it all when I found you And I wouldn't change a thing No, you and I wouldn't change a thing" This is Jason saying that he gave all of himself to God. "I've got nothing else to lose...I lost it all when I found you, and I wouldn't change a thing" is Jason's way of saying he's glad he gave up a sinner's life for God. |
