This is another great Simple Plan song, but no one here has been able to describe the meaning behind this song. Yes, you may think its another song about some girl or someone yelling at him, but it's not. It MAY be about that, but it is infact the band telling all the people out there who hate them to shut up and get over it...let me explain. "You think you know What everyone needs You always take time To criticize me" This is about the Simple Plan haters (some of which roam this site) who are always saying they are right and that Simple Plan suck and don't know what to sing about. "You're always there to point Out my mistakes And shove them in my face" People who are to ready to bag Simple Plan about a song just because they dont like it. "Nothing you say today Is gonna bring me down" Pretty much telling all you Simple Plan haters to get fucked coz they don't give a shit if you dont like them, the fact is there ARE people who like them and thats all they need. "Don't tell me who I should be And don't try to tell me what's right for me Don't tell me what I should do I don't wanna waste my time I'll watch you fade away" This is obviously them just letting people know that they truly dont give a shit what you SP haters think, I dont think I need to explain this one, just read it with the vibe I'm suggesting in mind and you'll see what I mean. And for all you people who complain that Simple Plan are too nasal at times, the people who record Simple Plan's songs TELL them to be nasal half the time. If you watch the DVD, the man recording the song "Shut Up" actually tells Pierre to be even more nasal when he sings "There you go!" - so don't bag them about being nasal, chances are, they were TOLD to be more nasal anyway! |

| To me, this song is a GREAT song, it's about a guy who has finally got over his x and is ready to move on, hense the whole 'you dont mean anything to me' thing. He even starts paying out of her at some poinst, which I can relate to because this song shows how much happier you become once you finally get over your x and how much better your life is without them. This song is probably a follow up to "when im with you" because that song was about a guy explaining how much he liked her and telling her how much he wants her back. This is another quality song by Simple Plan. | |

As good as other people say this song is, I like it, but I don't find that it appeals to me as much as other Simple Plan songs, might be a bit too slow for my liking. It's about a guy who is complaining about his life (which is coming more common in Simple Plan/Good Charlotte songs) saying that people think they understand what he's going through but dont actually have a clue. In this song, he suggest that he feels he's the only person who has been lied to or been back stabbed, well of course everyone has at once point in there life! Don't get me wrong, the chorus is great, and over-all tune is pretty good, it doesnt seem to live up to its extreme hype. To each his own i guess. To 'qsx' what the hell does your comment " this band sounds like a whining gushing vagina, stfu simple plan and kill yourselves, its the only option" got to do with the whole "song meanings" side of songmeanings.net!? That kind of comment just shows how extremely immature you are and how badly you need to take a wank to bring pleasure back into your dull pathetic excuse of a life. Just because you may not like this song, doesnt mean other people dont. Give Simple Plan a break will you? As they already suggested in one of their songs, they're obviously not 'perfect,' no one is, they're just trying to make a living by doing what they like best. |

This is another great Simple Plan song. It's about a guy who has possilby been dumped or is scared of being dumped by his g/f but is trying to tell her that if he gives her a second chance, he 'promises' not to let her down, and will always be there for her and be true to her. This song didnt relate to me as much as some other Simple Plan songs, yet it is one of my favourites due to it's extremely catchy beat and tune! |

| This is a very well written and thought out song. It's lyrics are obviously about a guy who has broken up with a girl and he's wanting to feel as good as he did when he was with her now even though she is gone. This song reminds me of how I felt when I broke up with my x but you do actually get over it in the end. Most of Simple Plan's songs are about girls and self pitty, I dont care what they sing about, as long as their songs stay catchy and do have some personal meaning that everyone can relate to. To me, Simple Plan are one of those rare bands that in my oppinion have hardly any bad songs, which is really rare in bands these days. All in all, another great song by Simple Plan...keep it up! | |
