hannigan, thats a great point. not sure if i think thats what it means but its still a great opinion. i can totaly relte to the girl (whatshername right?). I think shes just feed up with her life being so fucked but wouldnt kill herself because she cant bring herself to do it. she wants to get out of somewhere (her hometowm mayb) but she cant get out. or maybe she feels traped by something (i dont know what). the guy (is it st. jimmy or jesus of suburbia???) feels like killing himself because is life is fucked too. he feels unwanted and left behind. im thinking she makes him feel wanted and he makes her feel alive when they're together. but when hes not with her shes still crying. he alows her to be herself. "she sees a miror of herself. an image she wants to seel to anyone willing to buy. he steals the image in her kiss from her hearts apocalips from the one called whatshername." she has like two personalities: whatshername and how she is around him. he sees through it and so shes herself around him. "from her hearts apoclyps". shes really confused inside and cant tell who she really is because she acts two different ways. he takes the conusion away because he can see through hatshername to who she reall is and allows her to be herself but when shes alone she gets confused again and crys. shes sick of cryign because all her life shes been fighting but she thinks its all in vain. i dont know if thats what the song was intended to be but thats what i get from it.

puddrulesall i agree completely. im confused though. are you saying st. jimmy blew his own brains out? i thought the song says "they" blew his brains out into the bay in homecoming/ the death of st. jimmy........wait, no, never mind i just listened to it again. why did he kill himself?

if you ask me all of you are right. i totaly agree with all of you! i fell like i can relate with whatshername. i hate all the rules at my school! they all get mad at us for wearing leg warmers. now honestly. wuthever. they wontlisten to a 14-year-old 8th grader. i love this song as much as i love holiday, st. jimmy and extradordinary girl. i think this song is twofold. i hink it discribes america like whatshername said but also it discribes how (i dont quite know how to put this) shes just like st. jimmy and is like his female counter part (counterpart definition: a.One of two parts that fit and complete each other. b. One that serves as a complement.) extraordinary girl is about them right?

Clture_of_Fear i have no idea whats going on either. "another protestor has crossed th line to fing the moneys on the other side" and "bleed, the company lost the war today" mkes me think they're ranting on about how people give up when they cant take any more and only want to do with anything involed in money. "hear the dogs howlin out of key to hymn call 'faith and misery'" is like the solders stuck in iraq and how they have to fight a war that has nothing to do with us. as for the lines: "theres a flag wraped around a score of men, a gag. a plastic bag on a monument" sounds to me like theres is a larg group of people (a monument) that are ignored. personaly i think no one gives a shit about my opinion. but hey i AM only 14 so why should they? 14-year-olds cant know anything, they dont matter. personaly i think bush is somewhat of a retard. he used a cheat sheet in the debates and he did a really bad job. on the other hand kerry is nothin but a flipin lemming. i HATE lemings. (for thoes who dont know what a leming is its a small mamal that just folloow the heard. you see lemmings are migratory so if a herd of lemings where migrating strait at a cliff and the lemming in the front didnt stop, none of them would stop and they would all plung to they're death). i dont have any particlar political party but i can agree with some of both demarats and republicans and some of the others as well. stereotypical punk is an oxymoron if you ask me. in my opinion, punk is about being yourself and being free to express yourself. (please excuse my spelling if i miss spelled any thing.)
