| if you wanna know what this song is really about then research bipolar disorder.. there happen to be 3 different types, more than 3 according to some (that psychiatrist Kreaplin i believe is his name, classified) bipolar is a very hard thing to deal with because you can flip out from agitation/anxiety or withdraw yourself from your own friends even though deep down u want to be happy with them all the time. symptoms include episodes of depression and mania (happiness), agitation, trouble concentrating, "flight of ideas" (pressured talking), desires/thoughts of sex - feelings of guilt, ..some people challenge their mania states through creativity, if kurt was bipolar he did this through his music. | |

i like this song but i don't completely agree with it, because i find it to be worse for yourself to keep everything inside that troubles you, no matter how big or small - it makes you feel like shit either way..i also find it impossible to never complain if u keep everything in you'll just end up having a breakdown.. & you should be able to find comfort and support by telling at least your close friends what's up.. anyone that doesnt show any of the pain they feel is puting on a facade as well.. i don't agree with every point a band/lyricist makes just because i listen to their music and i don't think it's very smart for anyone to buy into every point every song makes just cause the music's good. i agree with darkspot on the interpretation |

starmandeluxe, i don't fully agree. most songs are about love or how messed up life is but a good songwriter can find more things to write about than just that.. and a good songwriter can write about those things in an amazing way.. that might not always make clear that that is in fact what the song is about. and there are also happy things to write about that may not relate to love, or, funny songs.. i'm going to shut up now but, thats a stupid generalization in my opinion. |

i agree with bellyfull of swans the most.. life isn't really that complicated, i mean.. it depends on you're situation, but for the average person with nothing holding them back.. its not that bad - but its made that way.. because of "society making life more complicated and ceremonial" .. and because people are so damn judgemental. not everyone is as strong, and i have felt this way a million times.. "and i'm lonesome when you're around, and i'm never lonesome when i'm by myself." ... i'm a loner myself, so i know exactly how that feels. |
