hmm. my interpretation is that this song is about rejection. the woman in the song has been hurt in the past and has become jaded about love "Pipe dreams fade, / and all the underdogs get laid. / Left your heart in the hands of a jugglin clown." now that the singer is trying to open her up and asking for a chance, she says, "Not for all the love in the world." meaning she's given up on love and even all the love in the world isn't enough for her to put her heart on the line again. |
