Thanks for fagitizing one of my favorite songs....
I don't really think squarepusher is trying to deliver a message through his music. I mean, it hardly ever has lyrics and when it does it's weird shit like "I'm gonna fuck you with my red hot car". that being said, he's a brilliant musician, and he's the reason I love electronic music. He's able to keep coming up with fresh ideas for the whole DnB genre, and I applaud him!
One of my favorite pieces, it always calms me down and keeps me positive. |

It feels like a song that you'd listen to when nothing is really going right. You're lonely and sad, and everything you try to do to make yourself feel better doesn't help at all.
At around 1:30 in the song a ray of hope enters, and you think that things might finally be getting better, but this feeling ends around 2:15 and the sad mood returns. The mood is heightened by the violin playing at around 2:50. While I think this song is sad, it does end with the "happy" section of the song, which makes me view this as an uplifting song. |

Watching an interview with Maynard Keenan, he says that this song is about someone who doesn't understand why this person is being so wreckless and throwing away their life.
The music video was so weird because the director didn't understand Maynard's original idea of the video. Maynard gave up trying to explain to the director and decided to do a really random and funny video. |
