I am from California and I GUARANTEE you this song is about Arnold. EVERYONE here refers to him as the Governator, some mockingly and some lovingly. It simply amazes me that people can listen to this song and not realize that it is about arnold. 1. It's called GOVERNATOR!!!! Doesnt anyone watch Daily Show? Hell they even called the election "Total Recall" (because it was recalling Gray Davis) I am dead serious. 2.He repeatedly says "I'll be back" if you missed this clue, commit yourself to a mental institution. |

Yes, Brutus betrayed Ceaser. He was also his best friend. He organized a killing because he felt Ceaser was letting power get to his head and it was for the good of the country to remove him. After this Marc Anthony led a revolution against Brutus and his counter-part (Cassius, i believe) and Brutus fled. As the toops were approacing, rather than become captive, he commanded his servant to hold out his sword as Brutus impaled himself upon it. I think this is what they mean at the end when they say "Time has come to do what's expected of you." |

This song is about how the general public eats up all the conflicting information fed to us by the media. They give us prescription drugs then tell us they can kill us. They tell you the country is safe from attacks then 2 weeks later they tell you we are on red alert. In the last part of the song he is telling us to connect the dots for ourselves and make up our own minds. Take a look around you and use common sense. Don't believe everything they tell you. Question authority. etc... |

This song is about someone (like me) who is confused about the current state of politics. With telivision telling us all kinds of mixed messages. (Osama attacks us on US soil and the president vowed to catch him dead or alive but instead we end up catching Saddam, for example.) "I got some people saying this way I got some people saying that way I got some people saying there's no way Ain't it tough" He is basically saying, it's tough to know which way is the right way when you have everyone telling you something different. The general public (myself included, don't get bent about it) is a bunch of idiots. Watch us walk, watch us talk. Watch us write our names on the blackboards because we are WRONG, why are we wrong? because THEY said so. Watch our mindless bodies single file into the voting booth.
