this song is about a couple, who are young and poor, and are finding it hard to survive. They learn to value and truly appreciate the not-so glamourous things in life, as they learn from their own experiences. |

this is actually a really deep love song. It is about being really in love with a girl and how she means so much to him, "She keeps it pumpin' straight to my heart" he loves her love that she keeps supplying him with. This song is great live. |

Youre my razor you cut me, but maybe I deserve it, get my drift.......................as in I dont care we all make mistakes, chill out! |

this song is about domestic relationships, Kurt never really got on with his mom or dad, and one of his early songs he wrote when he was about 7, was "I hate mom, I hate dad" he also got kicked out of home when he was 17, see my 'something in the way' write up. |

| Nirvana – Rape Me Lyrics

This song is about the media raping him. 'If you hurt my wife, I will hurt you" he said about his wife Courtenay Love to those stupid rapist journalists, he hated rolling stone magazine too and didnt want to do the photoshoot, Lay off me attitude, give me some space, go find someone else to hassle, Kurt has no shame about this song despite it being somewhat rude, this song is a release of Kurt's anger, do you really think, Kurt actually cared if some radio stations banned it? |

| Nirvana – Territorial Pissings Lyrics

This song is is all about Kurt's teenagehood when he wanted to run off and be a punk rocker. The song is very punk and probably one of Nirvana's simplest songs ever, and you know what, Kurt didn't even care, Kurt never wanted perfection, 'gives us a title' territorial pissings. Piss on all those stupid retards and macho guys, piss on the doubters and critics, this song also expresses kurts appreciation of women "if so it's a woman" |

| Nirvana – Sifting Lyrics

This song is classic grunge, and so is the whole bleach album, how can anyone say it is rubbish?
Kurt was obviously stoned when he wrote this song, yet I believe the song has benefitted from this anyway!
the little sentences, e.g. "Wed your bed" and "Afraid to grade" compliment the grunge riff
The lyric is "Wed" your bed, not "Wet" the song is ultimately about people who have mental illnesses like phobia's and compulsions |

I initially thought this song was about a teenager who masturbates, while listening to Nirvana. I know this sounds really odd, but you never know, e.g. "He's the one who likes all our pretty songs and he likes to sing along, and he likes to shoot his gun" "shoot his gun" could mean anything, however I now believe this song is about macho teenagers who think they are tough because they listen to rock music yet dont really have an attachment to it, like real fans of it |

| Nirvana – Stay Away Lyrics

this song is referring to all the stuff Kurt didnt like in life, like macho guys, mass media attention, and speculation, Kurt wishes they would all go away, "I don't know why?" is refering to how kurt doesn't know why he has to put up with all the stuff he hates |

| Nirvana – Beans Lyrics
|
I seriously believe this song has a deep and important meaning despite it seeming rather naive and juvenile.
The song is about small children fighting and also being abused by their parents and how this scars them for life mentally. It is also about poverty "Naked, naked, naked" as in they cant afford any clothes, and the only food they have are beans, and they are happy when on very rare occasions they have wine, which is considered off course a wealthy person's beverage |

This song is about a relationship between a rich girl and a poor boy. The poor boy is doing all he can to make the rich girl love him, "In my face, it's not over" and yet the rich girl likes the poor boy but doesn't predict the relationship lasting because he is poor and has no momey. The boy feels annoyed that he is poor and wishes he could change the state he is in, out of his anger he says, "kill a million" which is refering to how he wishes the girl was not a rich girl who has millions, and just a poor girl like him so they could both be the same financially, and therefore could have a better relationship |

| Nirvana – Something in the Way Lyrics

|
This song is intended to be emotive and has a message for teenagers. the song is about Kurt being kicked out of home for being lazy, stoned etc and apparently being caught by his mum when he was losing his virginity at age 17. This song is intended to sound dull and droney and slow to signify Kurt's experience |

this song has a great riff, and I agree kurt wrote down whatever came to mind, to work well with riff, however this song is also stereotypes and how socierty shouldn't be prejudice, "Seal it in a box" refers to all the derogatory words of prejudice |

| Nirvana – Lithium Lyrics

This song is about bipolar. Fittingly the song is called 'Lithium' beacuse bipolar sufferers take the drug lithium.
it's also a way Kurt used of expressing how he felt in his life. He feels happy and excited, yet also sad and lonely,
this song could possibly also be refferring to Kurt's drug addiction, "cos today i found my friends, they're in my head" this could be referring to the chemicals in Kurt's head during drug use, and they are 'friends' because he is somewhat addcited. |

| Nirvana – Floyd the Barber Lyrics

this song is about fear. Not only fear of going to the barber's, but fear in general. the heavy riff is an example of how Kurt's intention was too overcome his fears, the heavy riff is like Kurt is fighting back at his fears. And also the part, "I'm ashamed" also refers to people who feel guilty but want to redeem themselves and enjoy life |

It is a misinterpretation that this song is about Kurt's daughter. It is not. Kurt loved his daughter very very much, and would never have preferred a son instead |

this song is a cover, and therefore does not reflect Kurt's songwriiting, anyway this song is about really feeling great emotion towards someone (a crush on someone) and expressing this emotion |

I believe this song is about society. It is about the peer pressure girls experience when growing up, and how they can easily develop bad habits, hence "Daddy's little girl aint a grirl no more" |
