| ch0gan is most definitely correct, it is about an axe-murder. But one thing, I feel that the slow, quiet part is a killer and someone he knows sitting down and having a silent, sort of awkward moment. Then Eugene grabs an axe, not knowing what's going on, the victim says "careful with that axe, Eugene." The intense part is the actual killing.....blah....blah....blah | |

| A Pict, as it's already been touched upon, is an ancient scottish tribesman. He's grooving with all these animals as they lay a fat beat. By the way, "I'm going to cut you into little pieces" is from One of These Days. That's the whole point... ONE OF THESE DAYS IM GOING TO CUT YOU INTO LITTLE PIECES. | |

First of all, not only did Waters' father fight in World War II.... ...he died in it. This is the root of Pink's loss of a father in the movie, and some of the focus on WWII, as a demonstration of the subtle message. Waiting for the worms means waiting for the inevitable collapse of reality for Pink. The worms represent death, and thus in waiting for them, he is waiting to become dead to everyone else. At this point in the movie, Pink begins seeing more in depth "daydreams" of him as a Adolf Hitler type character. He even makes himself look the way he does in his "daydreams" by shaving his eybrows and slicking back his hair. This hitler character is his only grasp on control. It is the only thing that makes him feel alive, and at this point, it is becoming all he really is. I feel the "day dreams" may be LSD-flashback induced. (For example, when he sees the monster in the movie, and it corners him in the room.) Anyway, the wall that everyone helped build to bring him to his current state of isolation and mental decline, symbolizes isolation and what Pink is feeling. The only thing worse than adding to the wall, is to have it be torn down, for everyone to see him inside. |
