Hello fellow Buckley friends, I remember When I first heard Forget Her. Was going through similar situations with a girl that of coarse tried to scar my heart. I know, it just isn't right. So when i heard these lyrics coming from this voice it sung to my soul, and I instantly was head over heels in love with this song , my anthem for that period in my life. Hey caitsith01 I'm jealous, I wanted santa to bring the legacy CD to my house but unfortunetly he did not. Anyway lucky u. I had no prior knowledge of the song being takin off the release of Grace, that would of been another Interesting jam to add. Well I can tell you the First Cd I heard this song on was Live at the Mercury lounge for a NEW YEARS EVE GIG he had in96. SO RAD imean there is amazing songs on this Bootleg that a friend of mine had purchased. It was the last copy they had too. topping it off as the best find of any buckley cd in his collection. It was like he just one the lotto. I admit I felt the same way. I was like how many new songs are on that thing. Again it was found at ROLLING STONES in CHICAGO very hip shop. There is aNEw Years PRayer acoustic version, a new fresh version of mood swing whiskey that he said he wrote the night before sporting a hang over, kinda funny of coarse ha played Forget her that was actually added on to the cd cuz I remember the case said it was live at the CbGb's with special guest the politically incorrect Matt Johnson on the drums. So cool.......great cover songs on there like burn, um 3's a magic number, what else is on there last goodbye, dink's song , grace, and a song by elton John written by I believe B. Taupin. have to check the source but just a phenomenal performance none- the- less. Have u ever just went to the beach ,on a warm fall evening,with the starsshining so bright in space, alone you lay down in the sand near the ocean let the waves roll over you close your eyes and let all of your worries disappear into thin air? Not exactly sleeping but similiar. Anyhow you look at it There's something really scary yet peaceful about the whole action of this massive black and blue sea flowing over you.Not knowing if something is out there waiting to take u away or bite u surrendering yourself to 3/4 of this world.Truly an amazing sensation. In my opinion. Anyway Dream Brother being the first song Jeff ,Michael, mick,and matt wrote is really spectacular. Thanks Matt Saunders for the info on Sleep over, never heard about that till now. Have heard tongue though . One of the Instrumentals for the movie. For those who never seen it or heard this song, try and find a cd called Screaming down from heaven, the Ultra Rare tracks,vol.2 this is the only cd I know that has this wonderful track. I stumbled across this at ROLLING STONES in CHICAGO. Hard to explain but I assume this movie is kind of bizarre, based on tongue. To be honest I play this track when I take naps press repeat and dream away. very Relaxing , very. As for the lyrics about the late Tim Buckley to his friend seems about right. I'm sure the man had alot of everything going on upstairs. One more thing check out the' Peyote Theatre' US PROMO EP,94 there's a really cool version of Dream Brother(Nag Champa Mix) or the JB's Diamonds From The Pavement, Ultra Rare Tracks, vol.1 also has this version. Also the Al'Olympia, live album has some improv in Dream Brother. AVUNCULAR knows what I speak of. It's my mojo baby, yeah. Well So far I've learned a few things, One being the excellent story Roadking335 had told us, never heard that before. Two, that Mojo pin is a certain kind of alcohol. It's everything I want to say to Sarah D,a woman I know and love very much. I admire jeff's confindence, sincerity, and Understanding in this love song. Every time I jam this song ,I picture him in a cafe with his book of poems open and there he is singing to this thing of wonder in the crowd. Jeff of coarse sitting proud. and all other male eyes staring at her. My favorite lines are ''I'll be waiting right here just to show you. how are love will blow it all away.or love can taste like the Wine of the ages,babe.and I know they all look so good from a distance, but I tell you I'm the one." Luv his range and the super sexy vibe the music pumps out. Have played this around alot of woman and most do say they get goose bumps, geez this song gives me alot more than that.
