What shite. 'Emo': a bunch of middle class kids moaning about everything. I love it how you all claim to be 'different' and yet you all dress the same.
This song is as emotionally shallow as any hollow pop group you care to name. MCR are just another marketing excercise for MTV and the record companies, Gerard Way is a corporate whore. |

"Hami, it seems that as an Englander you are implying that your own country is not founded on racism. I hope that's not what you mean, because from what I understand, England is an even more segregated society than even the U.S. In Britain, the social class system is complex and is king, am I right? In the U.S., we do have a class system but it's not recognized in clear, explicit terms - in England however class is openly discussed and acknowledged by nearly everyone."
Absolute bollocks. Ever been to England? I seriously doubt it. Take a look at the wealth distrubution of your own country and then look at the UK's: the average American CEO earns over 500 times what the average worker earns, compared to a ratio of only 14:1 in the UK. There are two classes in America: rich and poor. In the UK 90% of people would claim to be middle class.
And dasquien! is a cunt, is it any surprise that black people are pissed off when there are still racists like you running the country? |

An absolutely wonderful song. I love Pete. Shame it probably won't be on the album, seeing as McGee has threatened to sue over the lyrics. |

This song really stirs emotions in me. It makes me feel regret before I'm supposed to feel it. I'm a teen now and I hate it, but I know when I'm 30 I'll look back filled with regret, thinking about how I didn't appreciate my freedom and how I should have made the most of it - but also how it was the best time of my life.
So basically I'll still be depressed when I'm 30 about a how I want to go back to another time I was depressed. Ironic huh? |

It's amazing how much controversy this song stirs up in America. It's so typical of the "Land of the Free" that something which by the rest of the world is seen as stating the obvious and very non-controversial is seen as "Anti-American".
This song has a very simple meaning, it does not need such a level of debate. It's taking a pop at the errors of the Bush administration in a blatant and obvious way. |
