this is an extremely powerful song and dave clearly portraits a figure that we can instantly relate to...there have been many occasions where we have done something or ventured into things that appear to be bright on the onset but then we realize that there are somethings in this world which we really cannont make better....the monkey made an honest and inocent descision to go to the city to explore greatness however at the end of the ordeal he realized how the simple forest life was just what he was made for. |

this song fits into so many different moods and situation the music and the "" sing and dance""" part are thrilling to listen to for the years and the song has a very deep and dark meaning aswell..i usually like to listen to different DMB songs when i am in diff moods however this is definately a must whenever.....if it was once song i had to related DMB by it would be this. |

I think that in this song Dave tries to draw parallels between granny's old age , wisdom , his love and immaturity of a young/raw/innocent heart.

i think over hear he is tryin to say that even though his granny is old and cant see properly she is still really no better then what he sees with his perfectly good eyes that is he still falls in love easily and innocently and seldom gets his heart broken.
