The 1st line: "I'm caught in the symmetry of your mind But i'm not happier than you" I think the person is talking about him/herself caught in the same feeling (love??) with someone else. But this person is not happier or as not happy as someone he/she caught with. |

Woo..hoo.. I love this song bcoz it really fits me. Anyway, I'm not a Christian so I don't really know about The Jesus Christ story. But this is what I think Franz Ferdinand tried to say with "Auf Achse": "You see her You can't touch her You hear her You can't hold her You want her You can't have her You want to But she won't let you" Pretty obvious. This guy is talking to himself about how much he needs a girl (I assume her as his ex). But the girl doesn't want him at all. The same thing works with the second verse. "She's not so special So look what you've done boy/Bob" He's still talking to himself. Even she loves him, the girl treated him quite bad in d past. So he decided to dump her. Lately, he regret the decision and blamed himself. He wanted to get her back. "Now you wish she'd never Come back here again Oh, never come back here again" He hoped he would never meet her again coz he had been rejected by the girl when he tried 2 get her back. "Now I'm nailed above you Gushing from my side It's with your sins that you have killed me Thinking of your sins I die Thinking how you'd let them touch you How you'd never realise That I'm ripped and hang forsaken Knowing never will I rise Again" That's his words for the girl. He referred himself as Christ. He said that he's done many things and sacrificed himself for her in order 2 get her back but she's still cold to him. Conclusion: This song is about how a guy failed to get back her ex-gf which he dumped. Even though he's done so many things. But he still loves and needs her so much. |
