Yea the drugs thing makes a lot of sense and all but i think the primary reason is their band breaking out of their old ways and into a new life. They were homeless for a while and when you realize that you aren't gonna be homeless/poor anymore theres this great sense of freedom and of breaking out, hence "this couldbe my chece to break out" and "now im ready to be free". |

he did infact write it about his dog, he said so in an interview with blender. I like this album.. a lot of people aren't too happy cuz it sounds "poppy". Well, this type of album was expected. Its better than sounding the same again... using repeated topics. Their first album was more about how they came up n the hardships they had to go through... since their first album a lot has happened... and its only natural for them to go in a new direction. Its part of the maturing process and death can do that to you. |

Yes, the beatles thing actually helps in finding out the meaning of the song. If you have ever heard the song "Happiness is a warm gun" then you might know that that song is about Sex, Heroin, and even murder. The title of the song sounds like something a suicidal person would say. Perhaps, bert was singing the chorus of "Happiness is a warm gun" to hint off. In the song... John lennon talks about heroin, and we all know Bert was an addict. It just makes perfect sense. |

Drug song, plain and simple. Dani, the album isnt sappy, there are some sappy songs, but the album has its share of twisted typical used songs too |
