| Green Day – Minority Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I just love this song. It was one of the first green day songs I listened to (Which was a few months AFTER American Idiot came out x3) and I was like -This song reminds me of me!- Except if I was shipped to Tokyo I'd be common as the sky is blue, except for the olde english obsession, theory that I was a kitten in my past laugh (I drowned...), weird name obsession... The list goes on, but then I'm just freaky, not a minority ^^; | |
| Green Day – Church on Sunday Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
God I love this song. I can't exactly relate to it and it isn't as catchy as Misery (All of the 'state' names drive me nuts. Misery/Missouri, Virginia/Virginia... I'm sorry it just reminds me of my states and capitals test which I failed utterly)... But yeah. Ilove it. Haha I'm sorry GreenDayGirl1991 but it just cracked me up when you typed 'The book never lies'. Help me, I haven't had enough sugar! (Sugar makes me depressed ._.; Ahem.) |

| Green Day – Blood, Sex and Booze Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
._.; Durteh song. Ahem, now I really wanna analyze it. (Sounds of whip) Head down, head down! ... Don't you understand me? (Sound of whip or of someone hitting another) Ah, shit! (At least that's what I hear...) --Apparently, 'Mistress' has a whip/bondage/torture fetish ._.;-- Waiting in a room All dressed up and bound up and gagged To a chair It’s so unfair --Does anyone think this screams ROLEPLAY FETISH? 'All *dressed up* and bound up and gagged'. Other than that this just clarifies she's into bondage more than the beginning-- I won’t dare to move, for the pain She puts me through is what I need So make it bleed --He won't dare move or go against Mistresses wishes for fear of the whip or whatever, but he can't help but likes it just as much as her, if only it didn't hurt. But it does and he 'needs it', so he's basically saying to go on with it...-- I’m in distress, oh mistress I confess so do it one more time These handcuffs are too tight --This, to me, says he's supposed to 'confess' or he'll get hurt more, so he's telling her to do it one more time- The whip, Mistress act, whatever-... But his handcuffs are too tight -.-;; Or maybe that's part of his confession or just his way of saying it hurts a bit to much for him to like it as much as she-- You know I will obey, so please Don’t make me beg For blood, sex and booze you give me --She gives him whatever it is he wants for going through this, and he really, really doesn't want to go to far into the sex slave routine and beg for it, dirty his dignity further, whatever. Am I the only one who is haunted by the image of Mistress making someone drink her/their own blood?-- Some say I’m disturbed But it’s what I deserve, another lesson To be learned… from a girl called kill --For his obsession, people say he's disturbed, but by now he's sort of driven crazy by Mistress, now identified as Kill, (At first I thought it said 'From a call girls kill) o.0) and the comments are what he 'deserves' as much as the whip and such, his 'lesson' from Mistress Kill. For some reason, this makes me think she insists on being called Kill when in the sex slave thing...- My head is in the gutter Thank you sir, strike up another mandolin Of discipline Throw me to the dogs Let them eat my flesh down To the wood It feels so good --His head is in the gutter- He's sort of.. Nuts now. At least that's what I think. The mandolin part I'll have to say is like he's asking to be 'disciplined' by Kill. I really don't understand that part... 'Throw me to the dogs/let them eat my flesh down to the wood/it feels so good' Pain basically is his pleasure ._.;-- And from then on the song repeats, but on the 'Oh, oh...' part there's a crowd screaming, so that really helps the makeup theory mentioned before by whatshername. =D |

| Evanescence – Cartoon Network Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
It's sort of harsh to say that little kids couldn't understand Evanescence stuff. There are a lot of mature 12 and unders out there. Anyone who knows someone fake can relate to Everybody's Fool, and a lot of kids know fake kids nowadays. Believe me. They moved my grade into the 'upper' elementary a long time ago. Well, that sounds kind of... Nothing-ish cuz I'm only going into 6th grade, but how old did you think I was before I told you that? Heh? |

| Green Day – Letterbomb Lyrics | 20 years ago |

I agree with the meaning Green Day put out. I forget where it is, but they announced the whole meaning of all of the songs somewhere, but for user explanations, I agree with PGM's the most. YAY PGM! I really don't think Whatsername is a real person. She probably does have a name but I don't think it's Haushnika. I tried to read the scribbles on the album thingie, and my guess was Heather o.0;; As for the analyzation of Whatsername herself, I agree with psychochick. That really nails it. |

| Gwen Stefani – What You Waiting For? Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
Oh, and Nelia, it sounds like to me 'Why are you cheating on me?' 'You said you don't want her/me to know' and 'I don't want you to kill me or aynthing' At least, to me it does. That's why I had the thing about a girl whos already stressed about her career and her families breaking up. I think there was a really big pop star who's life was like that... I just can't remember. Maybe it's a tribute to her and it's still about Gwen. Dunno. |

| Gwen Stefani – Crash Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
I l00f the 80's sound of this song. Pinkhandgrenade, I totally get what you mean. The echo-backupsinger effect makes it sound like she says 'Crash and do me real hard' ^^; Really not the type of song I'd really like, but I love the beat and feel of it. I love 'You're still my speed racer' part cuz I used to love that show when I was little. Isn't it an anime? Yeah... It was the first anime I ever saw, and now that I compare it to my favorites now, like Tokyo Mew Mew and Chobits it... Sucks. It sort of sounds like she says 'Omarion and Dre', too, except distorted by that... 80's synthisizer sound thingie. Not 'Mario Andetti'. I was like, '... What?' xD |

Oh, nutz, I pressed ad to soon. This song makes me cry every time I've listened to it, and when I can't cry I kinda choke on air for a while n.n; The beginning drums makes me feel really weird for some reason. The beginning drums make me cry more than anything else. =O Sword chan is turning EMO! xD |

On the scribbles- I think her name was Heather, for some reason... |

| Gwen Stefani – What You Waiting For? Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
I think this song is about A) Mainstream artists almost being afraid to be original cuz they want to still be the hottest pop star on the scene... B) A girl who's family is all broken up and she's scared about it, but she's thinking that she's still got all of this, she's still a super hot female, has a contract... If you listen closely you can hear a woman and a man talking in the background. C) Gwen not sure how her solo carreer will turn out, beng afraid without No Doubt, maybe even somewhat guilty. I mainly think it's about B, though. |

| Gwen Stefani – Luxurious Lyrics | 20 years ago |

I thought the same thing Devin Burning. XD I was like 'WEED GROWERS!' immediatly. Stoolhardy, it's not Hairy-kutchy n' I don't think it has to go. Gwen is fashion obsessed and she always will be, and Harajuku is one of the best fashion centerals in the world. Yay gothic lolita! Wheee!!! |
|
| Gwen Stefani – Bubble Pop Electric Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| A fun little song. I can't stop listening to it, like when I first heard most of the songs on the album. I know it sounds like 80s pop, but everything- Almost, anyways- sounds so 50's-ish to me. 'Jeez Louise' the 'Queen Of Eng' references (A lot of young girls made references to her when they mean to say proper things and stuff, or so I've read). Yep, yep. =D She acts like such a teen, but she's what, 35? I don't think she ages... o.0; | |
| Dido – My Lover's Gone Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
Dido really has a way of capturing feelings like this. -tears- It makes me think of a woman in Spain (For some reason...)... And her husband went off to fight England. You know that big war thing with all the rebels (Origin of the word punk...) and the armadas? That. |

| Hilary Duff – Haters Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
*For future reference, I looked up this song to see what people thought about it. So I wasn't the only sane person in the world* When I first heard this song (radio... Our 'the mix' truly is a mix of the good and the bad. Some 13 year old requested it) I was really p.o'd that she thinks she can silence us and Lindsay with a single song. Then later they replayed it (The replay all the requests on the Request Wrap Up) and I started laughing. It sounded really funny and Hilary's 'voice' was all warped and naisly cuz she can't 'sing' or 'talk-then-have-her-voice-changed' that fast. LOL. ~Get Hilary Out Of The Nation~ ~Go To Smuffocation (http://www.freewebs.com/smuffocation)~ |

The lyrics are o.k, but Hilary didn't even write it... Her computerized voice totally ruins it. Ew. |

| Green Day – Boulevard of Broken Dreams Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
Hey, someone basically already said what I just said! YAY! Eh. Whatevs... Now I get to quote people! =D ' anyone notice that greenday used the same 1) set 2) props 3) effects 4) extras in the video for "boulevard" and also "holiday"?' They used the same props because, I think, Boulevard and Holiday are both about Jesus (Later adopting the name St Jimmy) leaving Jingle Town and his journey away. |
|
| Green Day – Boulevard of Broken Dreams Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Noo, the whole album was (Exception is Wake Me Up When September Ends) a story about The Jesus Of Suburbia. The story thingie said it was about when Jesus left his home town (Jingle Town) and came to his new town at night when no one was there or something... Google it, I can't remember the URL. | |
| The White Stripes – Blue Orchid Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
Get Behind Me Satan rocks... I agree with what the person who said what the people on the radio said. I t really does make sense, but at first I thought it was about war. I don't know why, it just sounded that way to me... Then I thought it was about a young teenaged girl (About 16, maybe) who has always been spoiled and thinks that a boy should do the same, so when he takes interest in her, she demands more than he can give, such as... She turns the orchid she was given blue because she doesn't like white. But I like shookmeallnightlong's explanation. |

| Gwen Stefani – Harajuku Girls Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
I agree with CÆT. It's better than stupid rappers who think singing about paying girls to screw them and then slapping them around in music. Besides, Gwen IS a huge fashionita- Not like the preteen girls of America who scream and run towards Stuff By Duff and Limited Too- Gwen is about other cultures, ORIGINAL fashion. Harajuku, Super Lovers, *she didn't say this one I don't think* Fruits, *Didn't say this one either* Cutie... It's all about the J-Pop. This song is NOT about Gwen wanting to be 'fucking Japanese' and just because it isn't about her loved AMERICAN culture doesn't mean it's wrong or alien jeez. And if you even listened you would know it's not Chinese. It's better than being rascist, ceezus jhist. It's Gwen's ode to Japanese fashion culture and such (J-Pop), and I highly doubt a local from Harajuku punched her for bastardizing their culture. She's pretty dead on, if you actually look at pictures of Harajuku and stuff. Besides, Gwen is just as popular in Japan as she is in America. o.0 Like Britney Spears and Christina Agulaira... At least that's what my friend from Okinawa told me. And it's hard to be worse than J.Lo, since she skins bunnies alive for her line. There will always be people obsessed with fashion, always be people obsessed with buying and making and seeing original fashion -Me if I do say so myself -starts doodling more clothes--, and always be people who hate it. Why not sing about it? If you hate it so much get a record deal and record a song... 'Anti Harajuku' or something. |

| Gwen Stefani – Rich Girl Lyrics | 20 years ago |

I think it's about before she was rich and famous but still liked Harajuku... And no, she isn't referring to buying Harajuku Girls for slaves, I think she means she'll buy stuff from Harajuku and get professional stylists from Harajuku. |

| Gwen Stefani – Hollaback Girl Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
I like this song but I don't think I have to take it up the ass. It's a fun little song that makes people laugh. I personally think it was about her highschool days, because there's a cheer the cheerleaders at my school say all the time- 'LEMME HEAR YA SAY.. GO BANANAS! B-A-N-A-N-A-S! BANANAS!' Gwen isn't a poser, she's a fashionita who has a voice. Seriously- I haven't heard her claim to be punk or anything... She isn't like Hilary Duff for God's sake she actually writes her songs and doesn't claim to be a girly girl and a punk at the same time and then tries to make rock- She doesn't really categorize her music... She's like Aqua. She has fun songs but she also has some serious stuff ('The Real Thing'...) I mean she may have but she's seriously a lot like me- She likes the Japanese culture, particularly their fashion (*Super Lovers Are Forever*), and tells people about it. Big deal- She made a song that had a cheer in it. People like it cuz it's funny and no one really thought of doing it before. |

| Vanessa Carlton – White Houses Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
Honestly! It's 'little bungalo' not 'little bunk alone'. ANYWAYS! I think it's about losing virginity, also. White symbolizes innocence, but they soon all lose it ('We were all in love and we all got hurt'- They all were in love and trusted someone so much they found themselves losing virginity and seeing, later, they shoulda kept it), and even so, she sees them in innocence (The 'White house'?!?!) I think the 'Maybe I'm more clever than a girl like her' is her thinking she'd keep her virginity... 'We gave eachother up so easily'- They gave up virginity so easily. 'These silly little wounds will never mend I feel so far from where I've been So I go, and I will not be back here again I'm gone as the day is fading on white houses I lie, put my injuries all in the dust In my heart is the five of us In white houses' She'll never get her innocence back, and she feels so far from who she was. 'I'm gone as the day is fading on white houses' kinda crushes my 'seeing people in innocence' idea, but maybe it means (still on innocence) as it sinks in- That they're not virgins anymore? Or maybe it was a street that the bungalo was on. Hmmm.... 'In my heart is the 5 of us in white houses'- In my heart, we're all innocent. 'And you, maybe you'll remember me What I gave is yours to keep In white houses In white houses In white houses' The girls friendship is theirs to keep... Once again, it squashes my virginity idea. Or MAYBE it means 'Keep my friendship in innocence'?! |

| Vanessa Carlton – Pretty Baby Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
Really? I thought it was 'I let it all come down and listen for you' That makes more sense to me. I love this song-- I'm singing it in my schools talent thing if I have the guts. I kind of think this song is about being used or obsessed with someone, because she loves them so much it's like she can't live without them, in an un-healthy way. o_o |
