To me this song means alot.
Mostly because me and my girlfriend just broke up after being together for over a year. I think it is a song about a man and a woman. They are madly in love, and when they break up e is hurt. but no matter how much he is hurt, he always has the ahppy memories to share with her. he is gald he did not know how it all would end, because all the happy memories he had of her would have meant nothing.
i can realte to it also in my parents divorce. my parents really did not fight alot. byt if i would have known earlier that they would have divorced when i was 16, then all the things that we did as a family would have meant nothing. even through all the fun things we did, i would have known "well it doesnt matter, they are getting a divorce when im 16." what fun would that be to thnk that you have nothing to look foward to? to me, no fun at all. |

this song does rock out in its own way, and so does the used. their vocals just singing are great, but when they scream they get even more thrilling. but for all of those who question, it is "i guess its ok i puked the day away." and i think the song is mostly about a guy who loses his girlfriend for what is probably more than the first time. because he says that "you almost cry againg this time"..."this time not going my self die" al of those this times and agains are signs that this is going to be the last time. and he is telling her that it is ok he is hurting, because she is traPPING herself and he is not going to let her hurt him againg. but this song is kick ass. i also like "the taste of ink". |

some of the band members have supposedly quoted that what this song represents really happened. the pale sick circumstance that when im one room, the mother dies giving birth, in the other room, the baby dies. its a chance to understand that maybe the two were meant to be. but in response, yes, it is a very sad and emotional song. |

in my opinion, this song is about the fact that he does get picked, hence "they say freak, when your singled out"
but aside all the other post, no one said anything about the line where he says "slip away, to clear your mind." he ttries to get away from it all to collect his thoughts, to not be angry. which i think is the fact that the red is not his anger building up, but his frustration. and when the red filters through, he cant hold it in any longer, so you better get the fuck out of there ASAP! ;) And i think there might be somehting about cocaine, maybe...uh,.....nevermind, thats me. |

i always felt that this song was about drug abuse, and the "jewel" was cocaine. for in those times that she felt cold, emotionally, the jewel, or cocaine, would warm her up. her addiction and the response to the drug, are her sunset, and her sky, for she is happy, only on cocaine. |

i think that the song is about the fact that after a breakup, all the girls always ask, how are you doing? and all the guys say what?? "oh, im ok." but everyone knows that this is bullshit, because your not ok. and this band is the only band that has the balls to say, no fuck you, im not ok.
