| Doves – Pounding Lyrics | 20 years ago |
This is my one of my favorite bands right now and this song is so amazing. I love these lines: "Let's leave at sunrise Let's live by the ocean I don't mind If we never come home at all" It really is freeing... |

| Sondre Lerche – Days That Are Over Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| This is probably my favorite song by Sondre. I just got a CD of his from a friend about two weeks ago and I fell in love with it. He needs to come to the Bay Area! | |
| Sondre Lerche – Track You Down Lyrics | 20 years ago |
I think the first two lines are especially tragic: "down came the sky and all you did was blink" Going along with what fixstrike said, this is when they broke up and it was a huge deal to him, but his girl hardly noticed. Just my interpretation. Sondre is amazing!! |

| Sondre Lerche – Things You Call Fate Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I absolutely love this song. Sondre Lerche is amazing! The jam they do at the end is really chill and its really simple, but very beautiful. | |
| The Shins – Weird Divide Lyrics | 20 years ago |
I like that he thought so much of such a simple thing and how as time went by it became even more important to him. "it pleases me this memory / has swollen up with age." This song is really thoughtful and peaceful. This song kinda reminds me a bit of a Dave Matthews Band song called the best of what's around. In it he says "turns out not where but who you're with that really matters." That's one of my favorite quotes ever. |

| Death Cab for Cutie – The Sound of Settling Lyrics | 20 years ago |
Ya, I really think that playing this song at your wedding would be so offensive to your new wife. Thats like saying "I settled for you because I didn't have the balls to talk to the people I really liked" haha. This is the first DCFC song I heard and I despised it at first, but now I think they are amazing. This seems to happen to me a lot though, it takes a couple of times listening to a band before I like it. Well not always but... am I still talking... sorry |

| Radiohead – In Limbo Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Over the past few weeks I have had a weird experience with this song. It came into my head a while ago, but I didn't know what song I was thinking about, so I did a Google search on the part I remembered. I was surprised to see In Limbo because I never really thought I liked this song. I think about the lyrics all the time now. And when I was looking on the Radiohead lyrics page, all of a sudden my mouse jumped down to this song. Right now this is one of my favorite songs...fate? | |
| Bob Marley and the Wailers – Babylon System Lyrics | 20 years ago |
This is such a great song, one of my favorite by Bob Marley. "We are what we are That's the way it's going to be" I love those lines because it does not only apply to a group of people who are being oppressed. For me it just means that I can be whoever I want to be and nobody else should be able to change who I am. |
| Radiohead – Let Down Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Oh, I forgot to add that this song did not really stick out for me the first couple of times I heard it, but now it is one of my favorites. | |
| Radiohead – Let Down Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I too am in awe of Thom Yorke and the rest of Radiohead. I have the utmost respect for them because they are able to express those feelings that each one of us feels inside, but have trouble showing. Like Winston Smith says in George Orwell's 1984, the best arts (as in books, music, ect.) are those that tell us what we already know. Does anybody know where I can find live video of them (other than MTV.com and such)? If so please IM or email me. | |
| Wesley Willis – Vampire Bat Lyrics | 21 years ago |
Wow! This song is so awesome. I love how his sentances structures are always so unorthadox. Talking like that is so much fun! "The vampire bird killed him at last" This sentance makes perfect sense in english, but who talks like that? Especially because there is no reason to put the phrase at last on to the end of that sentance. I'm going to put some more Wesley Willis on, listening to it with my ears at last. |

| Muse – Falling Away with You Lyrics | 21 years ago |
I used to be able to connect well with this song, except for the timing of the events he's talking. The majority of the song is set during the time when he wrote the song, but in the second he says "watching the flash backs intertwine," hinting of the flashback in the song. In the fifth stanza it goes into the past tense with a flashback of when he was "staying awake to chase a dream..." I think at least the first line of the next stanza is also a flashback but that is up for interpretation. Then this song goes back to the original time setting. What a great song, lyrically and musically. |

| Radiohead – Black Star Lyrics | 21 years ago |
Ya, iI like the Christopher O'Riley cd too. This song is truely amazing. I agree that this is a relationship song (well obviously) and it really hits home with me, especially the last stansa. I love the bass line on this song too. It is so awesome. How much ass does Radiohead kick? |
| Keane – Sunshine Lyrics | 21 years ago |
This is definitely my favorite song by Keane so far... I only hope this song stays off the radio because of the way they overplay Somewhere Only We Know. I love the line: "lost in the sun / can anybody find a home" It says that it is still beautiful around him, even though he is lost and questioning if there is a place for anyone, not just himself. Whether you are listening to this song for the music, vocals, or lyrics it is beautiful. |
| Creedence Clearwater Revival – Who'll Stop the Rain? Lyrics | 21 years ago |
I love how the band comes in, especially the little drum roll, right before the line: "the crowd had rushed together, trying to keep warm" Creedence Clearwater is so awesome and this is definitelly on of my favorites by them. |
| Sigur Rós – Untitled 4 Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| I think this album is in Hopelandic which is not really a language at all. It is something Sigur Ros and possibly other Iclandics created just for the sounds. I read that Jonsi just wants people to listen to the music and write their own lyrics or interpret the sounds our own ways. English speakers can get just as much out of it as Icelandic speakers (and that goes for this whole album). | |
| Radiohead – Sulk Lyrics | 21 years ago |
This is such an awesome song, one of my favorites on The Bends. What a great album. Although I don't know exactly what this song is about, it is so beautiful and Thom does an awesome job on the vocals. "i try to behave / but it eats me alive" |
| Elvis Presley – Always On My Mind Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| I listened to this song a lot after my first relationship ended and it is so easy to relate to. The straightforward lyrics tell of when his girlfriend dumped him, but he still loved her more than anything and wanted to be with her. Who can't relate to that? | |
