i think the "twenty six years and i've just begun to understand my intamite is no one" is about never having anyone listen to his troubles or really understand them, and he's still shocked about it. "When the director sold the show, who bought its last rites? they cut the cast the music and the lights". I think it's about having all he has ever worked for coming craching down and he feels no one even notices or really cares. "this is my line, this is eternal"- he has something to say and he hopes someone will finally listen. "How did i ever end up here?" he is unsatisfied with his life, being tragically misunderstood and wants an end. "my prayers to disappear"- self explanitory. the next two lines are about failing and not being worthy. "to this nature so unatural, I remain alone" is about being alone and knowing it's not normal. everyone else has someone. the next two lines are about thinking that he would finally change and get better, but he didn't, and everything he says is negative and he hates it. "please clear the house of ill-aquired taste" i think is about the "actor"-a fake person that he really is not, being better like than the real him. the "give me something real" part is about everyone being a fake, including him, and how when he gets attached to someone or somthing, it turns out to not be what he thought. the next five lines are about trying to find love and exceptance and not finding it, and still not understanding what his purpose is and what life is about. i'm probably wrong,but this is just how the song is through my eyes. |
