Why has no one commented on this?!?!?!?!?! ATITS is the greatest thing since... everything. my best friend killed herself almost 2 months ago, and when i first heard this song, i cried my eyes out because every word is so true. i even kissed her when we layed her in her grave. and i do feel like i didnt do anything, and its all my fault shes gone. Dane is the nicest guy, with an incredible talent. ATITS is very good at writing lyrics that apply to people in certain situations , i.e. depression, death etc. THANK YOU, AND THEN I TURNED SEVEN!!! you've changed a life! |

I see it as the narrator is trying to get through to a person that is depressed, and they dont think theres anything great about them, but they are obviously a very speical person to the narrator. the person has thoughts of suicide and the narrator is trying to tell them that "there's so much out there you could miss/ there's so much life out there to live " all they have to do is believe in themself, and the narrator is telling them to go ahead, and runaway... but its not gonna make it any better, and all its gonna do is make that day harder to live than the previous. |

This song is written about a mix of Tom growing up with divorced parents and his friend that killed himself. This is my favorite PWTS song, Tom even knows me as the "breakdown girl." this song means so much to someone who had to go through their parents being divorced, and had to deal with the constant fighting. the line that gets me most is... "I've seen a child's eyes. I've seen him living in doubt. Not ever knowing what it's like to be in love. " because since my parents got divorced when i was young, i feel like i've never had anyone to show me what real love is, and am scared that ill never know it when i feel it. this is an amazing song. |

| For whoever wants to know, this song was written about a close friend of theirs who died, possibly by suicide. when i saw them about a year ago it was the birthday of the friend this was written for, and when Tom (vocals) dedicated it to him, it was so touching. this is one great band. | |
