To me, this song is about a girl who has a relasonship with a guy and he is trying to get her to be more intimate with him. She is not so sure if this guy is really being true and real with her or if he just wants some action. The first line of the song "And I wanna believe you, when you tell me that it'll be okay, I try to believe you. But I don't" explains this. Also the line "I know I'm not ready.. maybe tomorrow" is saying that she isn't ready to be in such a intimate relasonship and to give it time. The guy is the aggressive and Avril is the submissive in the relasonship. Avril finally realizes that she has to take control and make some of the decisions in this relasonship. The chorus saying, "I don't know how I'll feel. Tomorrow. Tomorrow. I don't know what to say. Tomorrow. Tomorrow. Is a different day" Maybe that is Avril asking herself, Am I ready to be in such a serious relationship and give myself to this guy? Or maybe it is her asking herself how to change from being so submissive |
