| this song is extremely beautiful and i wish it was on their latest CD. it's about a girl who thinks she's lost in the world and then finds god, who turns her life around. it's amazing | |

| i think the song might be about someone falling into some sort of depression and they are trying to save that person, but the person just wants to stay in their only little world. i'd like to think of the solo as a tool for luring the person out of depression. i know that's how i get out of a bad time, i just pop in Just a Phase and let my mind go. | |

after i heard this song, i thought it might have been about brandon's view on sex, not sex with a certain someone, but how sex makes him feel. he went to this party, everything looked the same until this girl walked in and caught his attention. ok, like the wizard of oz you're watching this movie in black and white and all of a sudden, you see color and of course you are attracted to it. that's how he expresses his attraction to this girl. basically, he knew that they were going to have sex and he was prepared to see whatever it was she was going to show him: ' Now show me the world as seen from the stars' In the act of having sex, he was feeling great, and he loved it (love being the verb) "making love". then he thanked her for showing that world to him. *sorry, i'm just venting, my thoughts may not line up correctly or in order :S* |

me on a personal note, i would always think of my mom. we are two totally and completely different people and the things that i like, she hates. but anyway, i love the fact that brandon didn't try to force his views of religion on other people. he was just simply stating how he felt about it. everyone has an opinion about everything, especially religion. no one knows if god exists or not and for someone to say that he's real when they don't know for a fact is just rediculous (sp?). have you seen him? just because someone a long time ago said they did, doesn't mean that they did. they could just be crazy. and the whole thing about where we came from, someone thought to ask, 'where did we come from?' and to make it simple for everyone else, they said some unknown force just developed them out of no where. religion is just a structure to build a life around on what someone's definition of "good" is. if people didn't have religion, then they would have nothing to live for. i think that's where brandon is getting at. why waste your life on something that may not be real when you could be doing the things that you want to do. let me just say, this is just my opinion. i'm not saying that i'm right and everyone else is wrong. |
