I think this song is about someone close to him who has passed away, he is thinking back on all the good times they had together, and showing his respect for this person. He misses the person who died, and vows not to let anyone else close to him die.

this song is a great example of the Used. It starts off with that gay (sorry i think its kinda gay) tune for 8 seconds then it goes into the poppy guitars for 14 seconds....then bert sings with the soft acoustic guitar and the single drum rhythm.....then approx. 23 seconds later a new drum rhythm starts....Chorus...another verse with the same rhythm but some weird chime noise...............the Used add stuff for each verse and chorus...theyre good at that...i didnt like the sound of this song from just the first 10 seconds so i didnt listen to it all the way through like the shallow motherfucker i am, but after listening to it all the way through, this is a helluva song |

yea all you guys are stupid....you're overanalyzing this song way to much....blink's great, but theyre not lyrical geniuses. In fact, there lyrics are all really simple. by saying "she's better off sleeping on the floor..." he's saying that she's better off on the floor than in the bed with some mangy lying sack of shit like him. it has nothing to do with social stature or any other shit like that and in this song he's trying to get the point across that he really likes her and he knows she would be better off with him rather than the other guy. yea. i'm right. |

brand new uses alot of religious references in their songs, whether they like it or not. 70 x Seven. i dunno the story but something about Cain and Abel or something, im sure you hard core fans know. and then they say "drink for forty days and forty nights" 40 days is a clear biblical reference from the great flood to jesus in the desert. i'm not saying theyre christian rock they just use several biblical references |

yea i like a variety of music...classic rock (lead zepplin)....classic punk(ramones, dk) emo (taking back sunday, brand new) pop (green day, blink 182) pop punk (nofx, antiflag) so...i mean i think the only music that sucks is the kind thats on MTV...but iguess that makes me hypocritical for listening to blinkand green day and brand new and such....but idont care. fuck that. |
