this song rocks! i think the vidoe is about some guy wakin up in a trashed hotel room an not knowin what the hell is goin on, then lookin back over his videos, he realises that he must have been stalkin some girl, who he eventually worked up the courage to talk to an got lucky. he got a bit violent so she freaked out an left, makin him even worse, so... poor hotel cleanin lady. whateva, my opinion, might be wrong, might be right, either way that guy is HOT!!! |

why does everyone assume that a popular song means it has to be pop? ok, pop shares the same first three letter as popular but so? so do monk and monkey, but we'd never expect a hairy tree dwelling primate to inhabit a monastry. just because a lot of people who don't claim to be "rebels" or "outcast's" like this song doesn't mean that green day have sold out and gone mainstream, it just means that they've written something decent that more than you and your own clique's can relate to. stop trying to be different and be yourself, it's easier to non conform if you don't follow a set of rules and regulations to do so.
anyway, i still like greenday, whether or not they have "sold out" and i'll still scream like a twat when i go to see them in concert. bye |

i think this song is about the way in which teens are so alike that they can just be disposed of and the few who dare to be a little diiferent get all of society's ills pinned down on them (manson--columbine, ahem). it's also about the way people percieve manson, all the twisted imagery and death, it's like people expect him to take on the role that he's created when in reality, it's just that, a role. he doesn't really hate god, or jesus, or cute little bunnies, just the people who wrap their lives around superficial shit. alice cooper once said that manson is the alice of the 90's. everything about both of those characters, and many more alike (ozzy, iron maiden, etc) is theatrical and presented to cause a reaction. it's provocative music and i can't get enough of it! |

i saw an interview with gwen and she said that this song was written by a friend of hers. she said she loved the way it challenged her to stop wasting time and get on with her new album. the lyrics for this aren't exactly subtle: what you waiting for? pretty blunt. the clock thing comes from the pressure gwen said she felt to get this solo album out, it was like a clock ticking in her head. i dunno, maybe i'm crazy, but this seems pretty fitting |

i'm not so sure this song is about anything specific, i think it's more open to interpretation than most songs of this nature. obviously, it can be interpreted as a suicide track, but i think it's more about trying to help yourself and having it get so much worse as a result, then just trying to rectify it. we've all done something that we feel awful about, an we've hopefully tried to fix it, this is a song to say: no matter how bad you feel, it's ok to ask for help. ask. ask christ, ask god, you're mama, anyone, just ask. the last verse is sort of a final question. will i be denied christ, tourniquet, my suicide. it's like, is this it for me, will no one help me, am i so bad that i can't even get out of it? it's a beautiful question, one that needs an answer, which is why i think this song appeals to so many, because it touches us on a basic emotion, the need to be forgiven |

i think this song is about someone who was goin the wrong way with their life (ie adictions, etc) an then someone came into it who made them realise that they were on a self destruct course. to me, this song really reminds me of a bad point in my life. i was out of my head on whatever shit i could find, then i met the best person on the planet an my life turned around. i think thats what this song is, the right person/influence/whateva, can save you.

i never really liked greenday till i heard this song. omg it rocks. the video is a little predictable, "look at me, i'm a little rebel, pass the eyeliner, blah blah" but the song is beltin. the lyrics are pretty deep an kinda sad, it's kinda a way of sayin that you're alone but you'll keep going on with everything cos you think there's someone out there for you. ok, it sounds like a lovesong by the backstreet boys when you put it like that, but i still love it |

i think this song is a way for gc to step out of themselves an take a look at what they're becoming. it's like they're tryin to say "look, this is who we are, we wanna sing, we wanna be a band, no we're not punk, we're good charlotte, so stop tryin to pin us down with your bs lables". i really like this song cos they dared to do something a little different to anything else they've ever done.
of course people are gonna say, "oh, they're just a little pop boyband, they sound like justin timberlake, wah wah wah!" but that's utter crap because these people need to stop taggin! i can't stand anyone who considers themself a goth, or a punk, or a townie, or a chav or anything else. don't you have a name? gc are one of the few bands who dont fall into a neat little category and dare to do something that they like, an they think sounds good, without worrying if people are gonna like it. |
