Kisschasy – One mistake Lyrics 20 years ago
Lmao, bleedthecoloursopen. Be careful, if they get too mainstream then you may want to deny having ever liked them *nods*

Kisschasy – Black Dress Lyrics 20 years ago
illy, I think of the same thing (about children not understanding death) A friend of a friend went to a funeral and as the coffin was being put in the ground the woman's child jumped on it and tried to open it to get his mother out.

Like everyone has said - as sick as this song should be, it's just not. Beautiful, beautiful idea for a song, as strange as it may seem.

I don't get how you got the impression that they're speaking of homosexuaality in a negative way.

This song is weird but funny. I doubt it is meant to be taken seriously.

Ben Folds – Adelaide Lyrics 20 years ago
Hahaha! I haven't seen the speedos/gumboots guy in years but I remember him.

And the Adelaide murders thing has been blown up. I've lived here my whole life and I haven't been robbed, raped or murded (obviously), nor do I know anyone who has. It isn't like you should be scared for your life over here.

The Veronicas – 4ever Lyrics 20 years ago
I hate it when people bag pop music. This song -is- slutty and lacks emotional depth, but it is also incredibly catchy and alot of fun. This song will surely piss alot of people off, but you could never say it is bad. Does that make sense? I hate alot of songs because they dont appeal to me, but I don't think they are bad. If you judge this song for what it is - a pop song, and not a 'change your life' kind of song - it is very good. This is a perfectly constructed pop song.

The Living End – One Said To The Other Lyrics 20 years ago
Living end has my vote as one of the best bands every, but I really don't love this song :( Anyway, the lyrics confuse me a little. I think this brainless, drunken slutty woman has been dumped by her boyfriend; who thinks she will never find another man because she is a brainless, drunken, slut; and the rest of the song explains her brainless, drunken, slutiness... or something.

It's about a stike, yeah. And it sounds like it wasn't very successful, unfortunately.

The Living End – All Torn Down Lyrics 20 years ago
As ur_worst_nightmare said, get fucked if you hate this song :) The meaning is pretty obvious though. Expanding cities..tearing down historic buildings, beautiful landscapes. etc. Just going too far with the construction, really. This song always makes me a little sad.

I'm not entirely sure what this song means, but I'm in love with it anyway. Living band has to be the best band ever. Seriously.

Ben Folds – Adelaide Lyrics 21 years ago
Actually, Ben moved to Adelaide quite a while ago and he doesnt live here anymore.

¨And you know the earth could turn
Or crash and burn
And you would never know it ¨

Im sure he meant that in a positive way, but Id like to call it ignorant. Why hear about world wars or poverty when we can have live coverage of the Royal Adelaide Show?

The whole song just shows that Adelaide has no other worries but Adelaide. Ben obviously likes Adelaide because it isnt a fast paced life. I can really understand that, Ben, but maybe we arent fast paced enough.

Ben still rocks my socks though.

The Wallflowers – One Headlight Lyrics 21 years ago
In the first verse he is talking about his friend who has died of a ¨broken heart disease¨, meaning she was depressed and killed herself. You can tell by some of the lines that although he is sad and confused by her death, he hasnt completely lost all hope just yet.

The chorus is about all of the hopeful things he used to tell her when she was feeling down. Things might be bad, but ¨nothing lasts forever¨. In the lines ¨But me and Cinderella, we put it all together, we can make it home with one headlight¨, think of the one headlight as representing hope, and driving it home as representing getting through life. The both agreed (they put it all together) that even though they didnt have much hope (only one headlight), it was still hope, and they could make it to a better life (they could drive it home) with that little bit of hope.

The first part of the next verse describes how she was feeling before she died. Shes stuck in a life that she doesnt enjoy. Shes losing/lost hope that little bit of hope. The next few lines of that verse ¨But there's got to be an opening somewhere here in front of me, through this maze of ugliness and greed. And I seen the sun up ahead at the county line bridge, sayin' all there's good and nothingness is dead¨, is him expressing his hope to her. Unlike in the chorus, he sounds more desperate to give her hope.

The line ¨We'll run until shes out of breath¨ means that they will keep on living until she feels depressed, like she cant go on (until shes out of breath), but then he can reassure her, give her hope, and they will keep going. Her running till theres nothing left means that she kept living until she just couldnt anymore. She ¨hit the end¨ and killed herself by jumping from her window.

The final verse is about how he is feeling after her death. the line ¨But somewhere here in between the city walls of dyin' dreams¨ really sums up this verse. She is gone, and he has lost that little bit of hope he once had. Her death is killing him, because now he is the one who is depressed and without hope for the future . He feels like he cant go on.
