If you notice in Wings for Marie, and 10,000 Days, Maynard sings about his soul being saved by his mother, which shows a spiritual side of Maynard. Maybe he beleives in God. [Here from the king\'s mountain view Here from the wild dream come true Feast like a sultan I do On treasures and flesh, never few] Maynard is talkin about his life now. He continues to say that he would wish it all away if he knew that he would of lost his mother (assuming he is talkin about his mother) [(The devil with his had me down) In love with the dark side I\'d found. Dabble in all the way down Up to my neck soon to drown.] Here he talks about his past, and how involved with the dark side he was to the point of \"drowning\". [But you changed that all for me Lifted me up, turned me round ] Once again, Im going to assume he is talkin about his mother in this one. [Prayed like a father dusk to dawn Beg like a hooker all night long Tempted the devil with my song And got what I wanted all along] I think after his mother died, he HAD to accept God. H prayed she went to heaven. He tempted the devil by his old music with the whole anti-christian attitude and got what he wanted (to be in a successful band). I could continue over analizing every lyric, but I doubt anyone would agree with me anways, so I\'ll stop here. Flame away. |

and how: you took the words out of my mouth. If you look at Maynards lyrics in a chronological order, it seems that he grows more and more respectful twoards God. There is also evidence of Maynard at least being remorsefull for the way he acted in the past in Jambi. |

| Incubus – Follow Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| Canibal and Missionary are 2 of the members of Incubus' Halo 2 names. I am personally not a big fan of the game, but i love incubus, and all my friends love halo. If you know alot about Incubus, you know that they also love halo, and spend most of there free time playing it. I watched them at the premier of Halo 2, and before i even heard the song Follow (the reason for watching the Halo thing) I noticed their halo names so that i could tell my friends to look for them if they play them on Xbox live... Then i heard the song... didnt pick up on it right away, but after listening to it a couple times i noticed part of the lyrics was the same as their halo 2 names... so basically what im trying to say is that the song is about halo. | |
