I really agree with what you're saying. Maybe it's because that's what's kind of on my mind right now, but oh well.. I share that interpretation. So yeah... I guess I have nothing more to say. |

I'll be honest. I think it's about sex. But I try to relate everything to sex. Sex and Destroying the U.N. ...which is so hot. "This one is an easy one... feel the word and melt upon it..." Sounds like a needed object to melt upon. Well, I have an object to melt upon. I like that sort of thing. This sucks... I need a girlfriend. |

I think sentimentalfool had more than he meant to, to be honest. I think he was right in some aspects, albeit for the most part, he was horrendously wrong. Think about it: A country with freedom of speech welcomes the right to harass other religions simply because of different beliefs (Which is why I think we're too tolerant). I think that sort of thing should be counter-acted with prejudice laws--but then again, how could we ever govern such a thing with so many biased opinions out there? America would have to abandon it's God-bound properties and become a neutral entity, which is unfeasible. We are too tolerable in some aspects, but for the most part, Jimi Hendrix had it right when he said things could be cured with love. That's what it should be about. Sadly, though, it isn't. And even more sadly, this song isn't playing on a Government-issue Ipod. I would love a free Ipod so I could listen to this song all the time. Although I admit I haven't read any other posts, for the most part, I like this song. And it has a good, deep meaning. And I think moonsoon3 covered my opinion anyway. So yeah,.. rock on. |

Actually, Undermind, you're wrong. As "ThatGuyNamedRyan" stated, it's a parody of the intermission from the British comedy "Monty Python and the Holy Grail." Sorry. But John Cleese rules all, even Tool. |

What about Hooker With A Penis? I think that pretty much sums it up in the title. No hidden meaning there... well... not after you pull the skirt off, anyway. 'Cause then it's like in your face and you wanna throw up and stuff. Nope... no hidden-ness there. |

hsingarajah, there is nothing wrong with reggae... or... however... it's spelled. And... I'm still waiting on the earth to die on May 15, 2003. And by God, I can't wait for it to happen either. |

I stopped reading after adndgamer's post. It couldn't have been said more correctly in my opinion. It's not about Jesus Christ. It's not a religious song. It's about playing something up so high in your mind, and once you finally get it, you're like "What the hell?" because it's not what you made it out to be. And the whole Christ thing--It's moreso about doing anything for something you want more than anything. Something worht dying for. Not so much about Christ directly. And furthermore, Man on TV is a badass. Anyone who doesn't like him should be... (random insult) sodomized by a poolstick. |

Even though I have several opinions on this song, I really kind of like to toy around with the idea or how things aren't romantic anymore. Such as... "I time every journey... to bump into you." Nothing is romantic, but in the dark of the matinee, lust takes over. Or maybe it's about growing up... I dunno... I just like to think of awkward things that probably have no bearing whatsoever. |

I highly doubt this song is about drugs. And yes, it is "Line of dark fastastic passion," it says so in the booklet :D. But... still yet, I don't think this song should be reduced to drugs... We're not talking about Purple Haze, here. |

First off, I doubt it's about drugs at all. Second, he committed suicide (Although I'd like to believe it was murder). In the first verse, he refers to being happy on occasion. He also realizes that most people live in ignorant bliss, which leaves one to wonder if happiness equals stupidity. He's happy, which makes him wonder if he's stupid. Second verse refers to how he's alone, and how he needs love, or wants it. He could live without it, but it would be a subtle plus. However, when he talks about the hangover, he's refering to the pains of love gone wrong, and why it's almost not worth it. 3rd verse, he reveals that he wants the happy stuff in life without the painful repercussions. He wants the love, but not the heartache. Let him sleep in happiness under the sun, but wake him up before he burns with the pain of his actions. He repeats he's happy sometimes, but overall, life hurts. When he feels happy, he feels dumb. Lower than his mentality should allow him to be. Yeah... that's... just my opinion though... so take it how you will. I'm probably just happy. Or Dumb. |
