Even though crying is one of the saddest activities to partake in...it helps..and it can be enjoyable. Theres just some thing about crying and willows that are so comforting. Its strange and has an element of irony because although it sounds like he is looking from a "birds eye view" if you will..he is a miner..and miners are underground. ironic. I also believe that the Emmdithy is right--maybe the lyricist was trying to convey the feeling of when you are living your life but you dont feel like you're living at all even though...you are... |

Okay so Im glad that NO ONE HAS TRIED TO EXPLAIN THE MEANING OF THIS SONG. except for random monkey Its obvious though...a guy is obsessed with a girl and he watched her from his boat, I mean hello...can we stay stalker...if you go the the Mew website you can watch their music video for this song..which makes the whole song meaning alot more confusing..because they burn down her house in the video.. anyways..someone please try to find the meaing of this song. Im lost. |

The part that says "Im caught in the symmetry of your mind, but Im not happier than you" has ALWAYS gotten me. Im so confused. My cousin and me have tried and tried to figure this out but we fail miserably. We DID figure out the part that says "oh if only, you'd try to be polite thinking you were right only to find that youre unkind. but ironically you will always be belle of the ball atleast to me." I mean...I understand that its like talking about a person who can be so rude and cruel at moments but its like no matter what that person does, they will always be "belle of the ball"..its strange but very true. What do you think the first line means though? This wondering ment causes complete insomnia and Im sick of it. |
