Evangeline is an 1847 epic poem by American writer Henry Wadsworth Longfellow; it also is the name of the poem’s heroine, who in Cajun Louisiana has taken on mythological status. I think its about meeting a new "perfect" partner and not wanting to betray the trust of one who you are with even though things are getting "stale" metaphors to use heaven= anywhere faith=love conspirator=partner treason=cheating reasons that dont warrent debate= family or children just my take... or Epiphany..... or is it a brain fart.. |

| I think the song is about giving into emotions.. be it anger, fear, love, greed. basic strong emotions. To me its about being fully aware of your emotions but not letting them rule your life | |
