I'm surprised there are no comments on this yet. Perhaps because the lyrics are relatively straightforward? The second-to-last chapter in the story that is Sumday, The Warming Sun is an emotional look back at what might have been. He has a dream that he is back together with an ex girlfriend, as if they never split up. Things are good, but the harsh reality is that they are not together. She is off with somebody "better". He obviously still has feelings for her, but wonders if she ever thinks about him. The good ol' "What if..." The feelings of isolation and loneliness are overwhelming. If only things were like in the dream... |
