Quite akward, considering not too long ago i met this girl named yukie (yuki is how she introduced herself). she's 16. japanese. never dated an american guy. she hasnt worn her visor yet though lol. she left to japan for 2 weeks over winterbreak, i told her "ill miss u yuki san, it was sugoi..so much fun" |

i heard this version before the descendents'. actually, if it wasnt for this song i wouldnt even knoww who the descendents were.i was looking up tabs for this song(guitar) and some guy wrote a comment "cover of Hope, by Descendents". anyway, the descendents' version is a LOT more punky, i can imagine 90s kids with mohawks and leather jackets with holes in their jeans rockin to it in their garage band. either way, i love the lyrics...and i actually prefer the descendent's lyrics which are slightly different. |

i saw the video to this song for the first time yesterday. seeing brad as a ghost almost made me cry. i dont know why man, but i really like their music and to think that the lead is gone and we wont have anything new from them is heartwrenching |

i think this song means several things. (i know i'm a year late, wahtever man). 1st, it could mean literally that he's breaking out..i.e. getting acne because of this girl. 2nd,after watching the video, he's breaking out as in breaking away from his split personality ("face to face my FRIEND" i.e. alter ego), and lastly, his obsession with the girl mentioned earlier, that she's the one running circles in his head, not his alter ego.
oh, and also, the whole acne thing doesnt have to be LITERALLY acne, maybe its that he's so obsessed with this girl that everyone can see it, and he seems like a loser, and he DOESNT WANNA LOOK LIKE THAT...get it? |
