| They absolutely murdered it. Any of you thinking that this even comes close to Reznor's original have something seriously wrong. Reznor was 24 when he released this song on Pretty Hate Machine. Davey and the rest of AFI are .. hell I don't even know how old they are but it's a while older than 24 I'm certain, and even with their experience they succeeded in murdering a flawless industrial anthem. I've got nothing against the fans of AFI, but please, do not even think of comparing them to Trent Reznor. It's a crime against nature. | |

Umm...Hmm...I find it perplexing that after the very meaning to this song has been explained by Maynard himself in the aMOTION DVD that you all continue to post your thoughts on what Maynard was trying to say in the song. I mean, I know everyone is entitled to their opinion and I wouldn't be posting this if so many of you had made it seem that "this is what Maynard was trying to say", instead of; "I know the real meaning of this song because Maynard said so himself, but this is what it means to me." That is the problem. Perhaps go out and buy aMOTION so you hear for yourselves. And then finally this board may be put to rest. Cheers. |
