I think Pitchforkmedia hit the nail on the head with what Part I and II are;
"two hauntingly similar and musically identical tracks casting opposite views of cynicism and hope" |

oh and contrary to what Modest_Mouse said, the line "All in all your just another brick in the wall", that line refers the "wall" that the central character (Pink Floyd) is building between himself and society. The bricks being things that hurt him or cause him pain. His fathers death in Part I, and the teaching methods in Part II. |

actually...
Roger Water went to a strict elementary school, where the teachers used "dark sarcasm" and other methods that would demean the children. This song is NOT saying that kids dont need education. It fits in with the story of the Wall. The character "Pink Floyd" went to one of these schools, just like Roger. It can be a sort of biography, the whole album was influenced by parts of his life. |

| Primus – Harold Of The Rocks Lyrics

From a primus concert i went to last november:
"Many years ago, one of my very very good friends, who i used to hang it with just about every single day. All of a sudden i didnt see him very often, and i thought "oh im busy, hes busy" thats kind of the way it goes with friends sometiems.
Well every sunday we used to go to this place in Berkley called Napoleons Bakery. And so he showed up there with some individual who was a little bit strange. And he was very thin and very gaunt, he said hed been "fasting". S i said ok. In actuality, he was strung out on Cracked Cocaine"
Harold, the obvious friend of Swamper and Greeny, who showed them the "rocks". "Im lit up like an old christmas tree" --obviously high on crack. |

i dont think he means Berkley, as in Berklee College of Music in Boston. If he does he is wrong. In the city of Berkley, in California, there was this place called Barrington Hall. Theres even a website, barringtonhall.org i believe. |

| Primus – Have a Cigar (Pink Floyd cover) Lyrics

they made the lyrics " Oh by the way, which one's Pink?" different due to the fact that in Pink Floyds version that line only applied to them. When they became so successful in America due to Dark Side of the Moon, when meeting american producers, they asked that question. Not knowing Pink Floyd was named after 2 bluesman and not a particular band member. |
