Dude, its Craig on the album too. He's just singing in a deeper tone is all. http://youtube.com/watch?v=-oUJMsHyX20 ^listen to that, and compare the voices... |
| The Sound of Animals Fighting – Act I: Chasing Suns Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Craig Owens does the "I was chasing suns" part in the re-release. And he does a damn good job. | |
| Brand New – Untitled Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I can never lose it I can never miss it I can never love you maybe its all of those |
| Norma Jean – Memphis Will Be Laid To Rest Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Aaron's part at the end is one of the most powerful pieces of music I've ever heard. His vocals are so amazing in this song. | |
| I Hate Myself – The Lightning Says Lyrics | 19 years ago |
IHM are the only band that can make a song with just these yrics and make it truly beautiful. Someone loves someone, but they don't love them back, and so that person is forced to say they love themselves because no one else will. "I love you. I love me too." Sad. :( |
| Taking Back Sunday – Set Phasers To Stun Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| catchiest song ever | |
| With Horses In Her Eyes – Page 2 Lyrics | 19 years ago |
"I have learned to internalize everything, because this shit isn't worth wasting other people's time with." Sounds like something I'd write. |
| Circle Takes the Square – Interview At The Ruins Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I fucking love you dude/dudette. Seriously. | |
| mewithoutYou – Nice and Blue (Pt. Two) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Amazing song. I love how the band makes sequels to their songs because their viewpoints change over time. "Remember me" - pt 1 "Forget all about me" - pt 2 |
| Brand New – Two-Headed Boy Pt. 2 (Neutral Milk Hotel cover) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
artless: Go compare any artist you listen to's lyrics to Saetia. To Circle Takes the Square. To Portrait. Realise you're an idiot. |
| I Would Set Myself on Fire for You – The First Word That Comes To Mind Lyrics | 19 years ago |
i tried to understand you, but i can't. ^anyone know where that part comes in at? i can't find it. |
| A Silver Mt. Zion – God Bless Our Dead Marines Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| so what's with the bad grammar? | |
| Brand New – Two-Headed Boy Pt. 2 (Neutral Milk Hotel cover) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Oh lord, the emo stereotype from a Neutral Milk Hotel fanboy. How... moronic. I love NMH and Brand New, and this is my favorite NMH song, so I can't wait to hear this. |
| I Would Set Myself on Fire for You – Song Nine Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| AWESOME song. | |
| Circle Takes the Square – Interview At The Ruins Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| does anyone know the whole lyrics to the "so, how'd it end? can you describe his final..." part? The music kind of drowns them out after the word "fate." | |
| Thursday – Counting 5-4-3-2-1 Lyrics | 19 years ago |
You guys are crazy. Yhey havent lost there edge, and they arent going to turn into a TRL band; but even if they did, why would it matter? I hope you wouldnt stop liking them just because they became uber popular. Anyway, this song is fantastic, it took a few listens to grow on me, but now I love it and it never gets old. "This is the sound of the gate coming down, no flashing lights, no warning. When we press our ears to the ground we feel the shake. But it’s under the skin, so we wilt like violets. Can’t get up, to put the petals in their place." And that part right there gives me chills. So awesome. |
| Thursday – Sugar in the Sacrament Lyrics | 19 years ago |
so anyway, I think this song is questioning religion and faith as a whole, and possibly asking the age old question "if there's a God, why do good people suffer?" anyway whatever it means, its a really beautiful song. |
| Cursive – Some Red Handed Sleight of Hand Lyrics | 19 years ago |
He spews out his sweet and salty sermon On the audience Awesome lyric and even awesomer reference to semen. Gotta love Cursive. |
| Cursive – Butcher the Song Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This is the best song about a penis ever written. | |
| Thursday – The World Is Black and White Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I guess they saved releasing these for a future EP. | |
| Thursday – Mother Mary (Far cover) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| anyone know what Geoff is whispering in the BG at the beginning of this song? | |
| Thursday – Sugar in the Sacrament Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| haha | |
| Thursday – The Lovesong Writer Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Yeah I was about to say the same thing, they've always been in support of the downloading of their music if for some reason you cant get an album just because they want it to be heard. But I'm definately buing the new album and you should too. :) |
| Thursday – Autumn Leaves Revisited Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I miss that part too Knife, it was my favorite part of the song :( | |
| Thursday – The Lovesong Writer Lyrics | 19 years ago |
yeah Telegraph Avenue turned out awesome from the demo. and er, I meant the 2nd... today's the 19th :p |
| Thursday – The Lovesong Writer Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Amazing song... unless you have excellent hearing you should've waited til the 19th to get the official lyrics from the book though. | |
| Thursday – Autumn Leaves Revisited (Demo) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| After one listen to the finished version, I like the demo much more than the finished. | |
| Thursday – Arc-Lamps, Signal Flares, a Shower of White (The Light) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I was expecting this to be a finished version of Untitled 5... Untitled 5 isnt even on the album yet it was one of the best demos. I'm kind of dissapointed. | |
| Thursday – Running From The Rain Lyrics | 19 years ago |
man, this song really grows on you. beautiful Listening to Waiting and then hearing the new tracks, they've changed so much and have come such a long way musically yet still have that same 'style', ya know? |
| Thursday – A Hole In The World (Acoustic) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I think the line "Love is Love" has ties to homosexual love as well. I know that Geoff has expressed his positive feelings on homosexuality in his lyrics before so it makes sense to me. And didn't Tom write this song? |
| Idiot Pilot – A Day in the Life of a Poolshark Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I'm pretty sure the title has ties to The Beatles' "A Day In the Life" | |
| Thursday – Running From The Rain Lyrics | 19 years ago |
this sounds like U2 to me still an awesome song though, very different than anything they've done before |
| Thursday – The Other Side of the Crash (Demo) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
i dont really like the chorus, glad they changed it the whole "keep crashing this car" part totally makes this song though |
| Thursday – Counting 5-4-3-2-1 Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| don't judge the album already off just this song guys, everyone did that with Signals Over the Air too and WATT turned out to be amazing anyway. Thursday always break expectations and deliver. | |
| The Appleseed Cast – February Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| best song on the new album for me, at least so far. | |
| mewithoutYou – Silencer Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| does anyone actually know the true meaning of this song? It seems to touch on alot of topics, relationship, spiritual, and the last stanza/part which puzzles me alot. | |
| She Wants Revenge – Tear You Apart Lyrics | 20 years ago |
This song is so about rape. I think "he tore me apart" is a phrase that women often refer to if they were raped. Unless you grab people by the hair and "tear them apart" in consensual sex, this is so about rape. |
| Thursday – Ný Batterí Lyrics | 20 years ago |
"it is in fact, a fact, that the original version by Sigur Ros is much better" haha, typical fanboy bullcorn. Maybe people prefer guitar, drums and Geoff's vocals over orchestration and vocals mimicking a telletubbie. Seriously, Sigur Ros is so overrated its almost sick. |
| Thursday – Counting 5-4-3-2-1 Lyrics | 20 years ago |
After reading the story behind the song, I'm already liking it more. And yeah, its vintage. |
| mewithoutYou – Nice and Blue Lyrics | 20 years ago |
"I missed what I was supposed to learn as all I learned about was missing you." awesome |
| Thursday – Counting 5-4-3-2-1 Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| This is ok... its just ... I dunno. It sounds like another band wrote it and Thursday played it or something. It lacks the usual awesome lyrics and the usual climactic point, but its not bad. I'll give it props in having some awesome keyboard work I guess. | |
| Thursday – Last Call (Demo) Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| no, those arent closer. Some of that doesnt even make sense. Cancer on the arteries? | |
| Thursday – Autumn Leaves Revisited (Demo) Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| fixed | |
| Thursday – The Other Side of the Crash (Demo) Lyrics | 20 years ago |
^yeah that makes more sense bbp, my emails in my profile. send em if you want. |
| Brand New – Missing You Lyrics | 20 years ago |
its either heel or shield... there is no "o" sound there at all. you kooky kats. |
| Brand New – 1996 Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| i like the faux-Morrissey accent | |
| Thursday – The Other Side of the Crash (Demo) Lyrics | 20 years ago |
fixed :) Im going to try to decipher Untitled 4 now... from the lyrics I can understand, theyre' amazing. |
| mewithoutYou – Bullet to Binary Lyrics | 20 years ago |
"When you laugh You'll feel my breath there Filling up your lungs And when you cry Those aren't your tears but I'm there Falling down your cheek. And when you say you love him Taste me I'm like poison on your tongue But when you're tired If you're quiet You'll hear me singing you to sleep" The most beautiful lyrical piece ever right there, at least to me. |
| Thursday – Telegraph Avenue Kiss (Demo) Lyrics | 20 years ago |
thanks :) there's still a few mistakes i made here and there of course, its really hard to understand Geoff because the quality isnt that good since theyre demos. |
| mewithoutYou – Torches Together Lyrics | 20 years ago |
"I had a friend eat out with this band at Taco Bell after their Dallas show and I found out that Aaron Weiss, lead singer, only eats out of the trash because we waste so much in America." So he goes to garbage cans in restaurants and picks out his meals? Isnt that, uhm, dangerous? Oh yeah, good song. I think its about unity with someone, and how people shouldnt be alone. |
