This song is about finding the truth in the reprinted and revised history the government lets us see. About discovering something for yourself. "manuscript replica"- a copy of history slightly altered by those in power. |

Just a follow-up. "autonomous machete for hands, warden and judge hide behind masks"- the murderer is not looked upon as a real person, just another killer who is sentenced by a judge and taken to jail by a wardon who hide behind the mask of "I'm just doing my job/duty to society". The lyric, "days become months and i seem to have forgotten the warmth of the sun" is refering to the prisoners' isolation and longing for the outside. |

This song is about prisoners in jail and how they are treated. "break the weak in single file" is talking about how one looses one's drive in prison. Even one's identity. I think the virus their refering to is murder, spreading like a virus. "single sparks...spectral fires" I think is refering to how one person can incite a riot. Maybe in prison or maybe one murderer inspiring others to kill. Maybe that line is refering to a thought to kill (the spark) and the action of killing (the flame). "binoculars watch..cardboard towns" is refering to the watchman who has binoculers in the tower of a prison complex and watches for prisoners trying to escape. This is just my opinion of course... but I think it's pretty accurate. |
