I love how he used the gunshot sounds after each time she hurt his feelings, shocked or scared him. I realized that I usually appreciate music more if I really admire the artist. Brad's voice is like a gunshot to my ears, it's shocking and almost overwhelming cos it has so much feeling in it. I love how he can sing deep ass songs and pass them off as something apparently light and how he can still sing playful/party songs too. It's perfect, sublime has the all time best feel good music. |

An innocent girl doing something she shouldn't be doing, and she's heard it's wrong before but never believed it cos it feels so good. The narrator knows that she's harming herself and he should help, but he doesn't want to end her new excitement cos he felt the same once and he feeds off of her feelings. When she begins to realize that there's something wrong, she tells him, but he pushes her the wrong way. Maybe it's drugs, maybe it's love, but then again both subjects fit into many songs. |

I think she's talking about somebody she really admires and is almost obsessed with. She's impatient and impulsive as opposed to the person she's talking about who wants her to just chill, enjoy the moment and not jump the gun. I really like this song cos I guess a lot of the time we just need people to tell us to wait. |

I think the narrator wants her partner to be some one else, overall someone loyal cos inside she's scared he'll leave her. So she tries to control him, but when he does change, he irritates her and she wants him to keep on his mean side, maybe so that he can be more interesting. |
