Though some people disagree about taking this song literally, I think that this is one of those exceptions. Not everything has to be metaphorical because, at least in my opinion, it about a very psychotic event. It kind of reminds me of Helena by The Misfits. Or like this Japanese movie I saw where this woman severs a guy's limbs and puts him in a trash bag, but he's still alive. Basically this guy is probably obsessed with her so he cuts her up and puts her in a box.. By his bed.. Keeping her alive. Like in that movie or in Helena. It's one of my favorite songs on Live Through This. |

Wow well there's only a million posts to this song.. But that's to be expected since people are most likely explaining the story to others. But waaay back to the first comment.. Coheed and Cambria aren't emo. They're not screamo, hardcore, punk, whatever.. They said it themselves too that they're Progressive. They're trying to do their own thing and I think it's awesome. I listen to some emo bands and emo is really just a huge release of emotion.. Usually when you're feeling down it's the music to listen to. But Coheed and Cambria is much more than that. They have such a clever story, the vocals are amazing, the music is so unique.. But yeah I'm done glomping this band now. =P
And yeah this is a great song by the way. xD |
