I think this song doesn't have to do with a couple at all it's about the life of the average teenager today. I also think it's about society and peer pressure about doing drugs. I think the songs saying what a teenager has to do in order to get by in highschool. maybe what they do isn't fun or what they would want to be doing necessarily but it's what they have to do in order to fit in. |

I luv this song! it's about how it's so easy to be the person that you think you should be according to society, but it's really hard to be who you really are or want to be. there's so many people you will meet that will want you to be a certain way but you have to fight for yourself and just be you. this song is just really uplifting and positive and it's my favorite Travis song!! |

I don't really think this song is about God, but more just about faith, beliefs, and second chances. He's saying that God has forgiven him and given him a second chance but then he doesn't fully utilize it. It's not that he can't get what he want's, but when he gets it he just gives it away. I think it's like this person's worked so hard to get where he is but when he gets there its like he just doesn't are anymore and throws it all away. "He made it to the ocean, had a smoke in a tree...Deliver him wings, 'Hey look at me now!' " I think this is reffering to the bible-the burning bush and the water turning to blood with Moses. It's showing the path he's taken to get what he wants, all the hardships he's had to face to get where he is. It's his journey he goes on from having this horrible life to being happy and in love, but once he gets there it's over for him and he goes back to being fucked. maybe this is wrong but it's what I think. |
