| Coheed and Cambria – The Camper Velourium III: Al the Killer Lyrics

It amazes me at the myriad interpretations of this C&C songs. I mean Claudio Sanchez has actually stated that he wants to see fans interpretations of his songs.
I like the Cobalt and Calcium interpretations of the songs off the first to albums (although it's explanation for this song is , rather ambiguously, just "An insight into Al's character" )
As I understood it however Claudio and Newo were being to taken to House Atlantic in a bid to kill the enemy of the piece: Tri-Mage Wilhelm Ryan. Only they are discovered in A Favour House Atlantic and Al helps protect claudio and Newo from Wilhelm's forces when they are found out.
This alone suggests to me that this song does not actually describe Al's actions but merely his intital instincts. He is a killer and killing is the way he confronts most problems, however he is able to overcome these feelings and remains on good terms with Claudio and Newo. Good enough to take them to House Atlantic and help them once they are there. |

I don't think the Sex Pistols ever sung about fucking girls, doing drugs, getting drunk, tackling midgets, and breaking bottles behind Wa-Wa. Unless you include "Frggin' in the Riggin'" but who listened the Pistols after Johnny Rotten left, right? |

I think it's about some guy called Andrew...who's popular. Who never has it hard, but one day things are gonna go bad and he won't be able to cope with it when they do... |

Is Billi-Joe really bi?- he has a wife and two kids... although I suppose that doesn't mean he isn't bisexual.
I also think the "kill all the fags" part is sarcasm, takign the piss out of right-wingers (the Bush administration's) homophobic attitudes.
I think Jesus has had his heart crushed by Whatshername (there is the contrast in She's A Rebel, where he compares his heart to a powerful thing like a "hand grenade"- then in Homecoming it is merely a "murmer"). He still thinks what he thought at the beginning of the journey, namely that he doesn't want to be an american idiot, which is reitterated in Rock 'n' Roll Girlfriend- although is this really true? The letter wasn't written by Jesus although it the line is backing singing and could be a reply to the letter.
I don't agree with the facility being a rehab clinic or a looney bin, I would have thought it was a 9-5 work place; where Jesus started out, or in other words "home". Remember he isn't necesarily happy with his home being his heart "doesn't beat the same", but it's home nonetheless. He still wants out although he doesn't want to go through what he has already been through with St Jimmy- and Jimmy is definately Jesus' split personanality as in the song St Jimmy he refers to himself in first person "MY name is Jimmy" yet he refers to Whatshername is the third "SHE'S a rebel"
Btw, I think Rock 'n' Roll girlfriend is the one of the best parts of the whole damned and Homecoming is a far better Rock Opera than Jesus of Suburbia...in my humble opinion. :) |

Ted Nugent is one helluva cock.
I think these guys get their fantastic animal rights ideas from the legendary Morrissey.
I think they are fantastic songwriters and make kick ass music. Just a shame that MTV made sure they never became overly famous due to the fact they had ideals and opinions... |

St. Jimmy and Jesus are one and the same eh?
Wonder how they tackle that one if they make a movie...perhaps a Fight Club style take on it.
I never thought they were the same, I always assumed that St. Jimmy was a different person who livened up Jesus' depressing life |

If you drop a cat out of anything higher than seven stories it will survive the fall. And if it's under 5 stories it will survive. So you've gotta be on the 6th story if you wanna kill a cat by dropping it... |

I think he says a different thing in the '??'s I can't figure out the question marks in the first chorus but inthe second he says "Run out of ritalin...I'm all wound up." you know the stuff that hyper active people take. |
