I think this song is either about a girl who was let off still loving the guy and him dealing with it. If you keep asking me I'll melt away in the summer air (if you keep asking for me back Im gonna disapear altogether) It won't hurt half as much and I'll beg for you to stop it now. (if you just get over me now it wont hurt half as much) and then the Prechorus I'm pretty sure it goes "if only I had things straight you and me could be together until the end" is in my oppinion sort of an appology, sort of like "it's not you, it's me" that it's his fault they cant be together. You stole out like my life. So I'm engaged to smile. I think that means that she didnt live up to his expectations, like his life. So he's going to fake a smile and move on. |
