| Corrosion Of Conformity – Arms Of God Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| It's obviously against religion | |
| System of a Down – Bounce Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
by Reverend-Maynard on 02-16-2005 @ 04:05:21 PM To quote Daron Malakian at Sydney 2005 Big Day Out (Australian music festival) after playing this song "Orgies are good..........I can make my shit stink good..........cause I am cool........are you cool?........You've all been smokin' cigars" Then they played there new song Cigaro. Cigaro is about the American government. "We're the regulators and we regulate." |

I HAVE SEEN THE LIGHT!!! I HATE GOOD CHARLOTTE!!! but that doesn't mean I'll criticize anyone for liking them... |
|
| My Chemical Romance – Helena Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| xxdeadmanwalkingxx well said. Satanism is screwed, and mainstream bands are boring (but I still like System of a Down). Other than that, you're right. | |
| System of a Down – Deer Dance Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| This song is a more intelligently written version of Anti-Flag's Fuck Police Brutality. SOAD rocks. Best band ever. | |
| System of a Down – Mr. Jack Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| great song, great to play on guitar. really easy, but really heavy. | |
| Anti-Flag – Rotten Future Lyrics | 20 years ago |

|
do we really need to figure out what this song is about? Good song, |
|
| Fall Out Boy – Sugar, We're Goin Down Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| This song is about a guy who's jealous, and kills himself over it (the references to a gun). That's what I think anyway. | |
| 50 Cent – Candy Shop Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Well put, Inpeace. Rap means nothing, meaningless lyrics. You should all go buy a System Of A Down album! | |
| System of a Down – Lost In Hollywood Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
""Do you know how fucking annoying it is when people come on the site to find out the meaning of a song but all you find is a few people saying how they like they song. then somebody else saying the same. " and your posts have greatly improved the system of leaving messages regarding your personal opinion on what the song means, not one of your posts has actually been related to the song or even the band..." and your is? |
|
| System of a Down – Revenga Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Amazing song, the solo's great, really easy, unless you wanna add a tremolo pick. | |
| System of a Down – Violent Pornography Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
595-escape, it's good to have someone agree with you... You're probably right about it going deeper than my simple generalization. That's reallyquite an accurate analysis. |
|
| System of a Down – Old School Hollywood Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
Okay, maybe this song is about Daron's experiences, but I read into it a different way: Old school... Hollywood... Baseball... OLD SCHOOL HOLLYWOOD BASEBALL! -from the kid who wants to get famous view, it's really all a game, going to Hollywood, getting rich... like how Baseball's a game Tony Danza cuts in line (Old school Hollywood, Washed up Hollywood) -it must be easy and fast tog get into Hollywood (cuts in line, so he got there faster) Standing in the sun I'm wasting my time (Old school Hollywood, Washed up Hollywood) -you're wasting your time going to Hollywood to get famous, because you'll just end up like most everyone else who goes there... working in a music store. (as Daron Malakian put it) Old school Hollywood baseball Jack Gilardi's ten feet tall -people go to hollywood and get famous (at least that's how the media portrays it) Old school Hollywood baseball Me and Frankie Avalon -people who go to Hollywood will be right up there with the greatest celebrities ever Standing in the sun I'm about to melt (Old school Hollywood, Washed up Hollywood) -you'll only fall apart if you go to Hollywood, because almost no one makes it. I have no clue what they mean by "Hey man don't you touch my belt," so I didn't include that. Anyway, that's just one way of looking at it... the way I look at it! |
|
| Sum 41 – Pieces Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| It's obviously about going to the dentist! Duh! Don't you people read into the lyrics! | |
| Family Guy – Babysitter Is a Bum Deal Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
This is the most meaningful song ever! Family Guy rocks |
|
| Crowned King – Yours Truly Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
I love the feedback in the beginning! When we did the same thing with my friends amp, we almost blew it! to all guitarists NEVER LEAVE YOUR GUITAR NEAR AN AMP TURNED ON WITH ALL THE KNOBS AT 10!!!!! This (I think) is about people who don't have to do anything to get somewhere. Example: if you're standing at attention, you're not moving, but while you're standing there, everyone else is drifing backwards. Get it? I feel so smart... |
|
| Anti-Flag – Davey Destroyed The Punk Scene Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| God, this song isn't about a single person, it's about posuers who are hurting the scene and it's reputation! Davey is just a name! god! | |
| System of a Down – Sad Statue Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
This is the best song on the CD... it's catchy without catches, if you know what I mean. Just about how the american government is pathetic and controling. Best song off Mezmerize. SOAD rocks. |
|
| System of a Down – Cigaro Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Would this be about people who are competitive about stupid things? | |
| System of a Down – Aerials Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| This would sound like it's about an airraid (aerials, in the sky), but it does sound like it would like it would be about how stupid society is. | |
| System of a Down – Violent Pornography Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
I dunno why... if anyone BUT SOAD rhymed "cries" with "dies" it would've been corny as hell, but they know how to deliever. This song is about how the giant corperations in the world are slowly descensitizing (is that how you spell it?) us through the media. The bit about porn (I think) is about how our society has become so based on sex. Just my two-cents worth. |

| Good Charlotte – Another Loser Anthem Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| good_charlotte_rox, everyone here knows that, and no one here cares. | |
| Good Charlotte – Another Loser Anthem Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| and NO_CODE_79, by listening to what one wants to listen to, one is being themselves, thus being unique. We are not defined by one interest, unless extremely shallow, and you seem to have the depth of a puddle. | |
| Crowned King – Unload Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| This and Yours Truly are my favorite Crowned King song. These guys are one of the best bands ever, right up there with Green Day and Anti Flag. | |
| Green Day – King for a Day Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| FUCK THE SYSTEM | |
| Anti-Flag – Power To The Peaceful Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| adsfkahsdf, it's supposedly metaphorical. | |
| Green Day – King for a Day Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| anotherwannabpunk, you are very right. We can't ever know. But how do YOU know that Billie's Dad wasn't a drag queen? | |
| Good Charlotte – A New Beginning Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| You know what? Screw that. | |
| Anti-Flag – Fuck Police Brutality Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I think they say that in... most all of them. | |
| Anti-Flag – Drink Drank Punk Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Yeah, Zed's right. Those who claim to be hardcore ain't. In the words of Dead Kennedy's "You ain't hardcore cuz you spike your hair when a jock still lives inside your head." | |
| Anti-Flag – Drink Drank Punk Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| So funny... DRINKING GAMES "I'm so cool cuz I can drink so much." lmao | |
| Good Charlotte – Another Loser Anthem Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
If you did like Nirvana (who became a huge success overnight, instantly mainstream, and had nothing on conformity), then how can you go criticizing other bands who "emphasize conformity" as you so rashly put it. If you consider yourself a non-conformist, then you definately aren't one, seeing as calling yourself one only says that you're so insecure that you have to tell yourself that, and disguise it in a coment directed at others. So then, what songs do you listen to that actually DO have a message regarding non-conformity and rebellion? Grunge? They're all too stoned all the time to really think about what they're writing, so it never makes any sense (or very little) and is almost NEVER meaningful. Your conceit amazes me. For those of us who DO spike our hair, your comment could be taken as an insult, saying that you're far above us. Does it somehow make you better than the rest of us because you listen to 90s grunge? Does that make you original? Well welcome to the club, motherfucker! You, me and about 1,000,000 other people! |
|
| Good Charlotte – A New Beginning Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Oh, for anyone who does know the name of the song, please help! | |
| Good Charlotte – A New Beginning Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
x_american_kiwi_x, thanks for that comment. People who act as though they're hardcore never say they are, because therefore, they're not (confused yet?). With that definition in mind, rap ain't music (hell yeah!). I have to agree with you, but I like arguing (don't ask why, cuz I dunno). But you are right on all levels. imhappy1dering, I appreciate the support, and it won't be allright. |
|
| Good Charlotte – Another Loser Anthem Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
NO_CODE_79, you are perhaps the greatest asshole I have ever met. Your excessive negativity sickens me. Have you even heard the song? Jesus Christ, you can stop living in your gay fantasy world, wishing that all of that actually happened, and with you could've been there to masturbate to it, and start rotting in hell. You must have the intelligence of a very small creature on the bottom of the ocean, because your comment barely makes any sense. I suppose you'd call yourself a "true punk." Well, in the world of Dead Kennedy "You ain't hardcore cuz you spike your hair when a jock still lives inside your head." You're obviously one of the extreme-conformist people who worship the system as a god, as opposed to the rebel you seem to fantasize yoruself as being. If you had actually read the lyrics to this song, you might've noticed (actually, probably not, seeing as you're so retarded, a hampster looks like a genius to you) that the song is about NON-conformity and BREAKING AWAY from the system. You have proven with that previous comment that there is no such thing as unutterable nonsense. In the words of the late Mark Twain "It is best to be thought a fool and keep one's mouth shut than to speak and remove all doubt." Your idiotism truly knows no bounds Fuck you. |

| Lucky Guess – Forgetful Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
Juxtaposition. I hate juxtaposition. I do, however, like SAYING juxtaposition. I don't know why. Does it remind anyone else of some kind of exotic food? The name, I mean... juxtaposition! Yippee! Oh, why's it called Forgetful? Juxtaposition! |
|
| Green Day – King for a Day Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
Johnny18 and my_own_style05? Mike SUX AT BACKGROUND VOCALS! HAVE YOU EVER HEARD HIM LIVE? HE SOUNDS LIKE A WHINING CHIPMUNK! But hey, don't get me wrong, Green Day's my favorite band! I like Mike's ability to play bass, but he really sucks at vocals. |
|
| Green Day – King for a Day Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
Only song I've ever heard about a drag queen... anyone here actually SEEN a drag queen? I once saw a guy walking down the street in a white dress and a blonde wig. It was freaky... also funny... but mostly freaky. oh and eilish4billiejoe? The drag queen in the Holiday video is Tre Cool, NOT Billie Joe Armstrong. And how do you know he's bi and a crossdresser? Did he confess it on TV? God, you people suck. |
|
| Good Charlotte – A New Beginning Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
isn't it though? *runs into corner, starts crying uncontrollably, gets all choked up, cries into the night, cries self to sleep, gets no empathy, so runs away like the dude in the song by The Offspring which has a name that I have currently forgotten.* |
|
| Good Charlotte – A New Beginning Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
Oh, imhappy1dering... Okay, maybe you're right. But I once saw an interview on MuchMusic where Good Charlotte were dissing themselves, so then they were asked "So you're a bad rock band?" to which Joel responded "No, no, of course not," and Benji said "We're a bad punk rock band." btw, I do like Good Charlotte, but I'd also like to point out that they WERE punk, just aren't now. See you at the punk show. |
|
| Good Charlotte – A New Beginning Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
xxkrypt0nite, I argue because it's fun. Ever seen that Monty Python sketch caled "The Argument?" Well, I'm sorta like that guy. I like trying to persuade someone that they're wrong. Also, if someone disses you because you like something they don't, don't you think it's cause for a little retaliation? See you at the punk show. |
|
| Green Day – Deadbeat Holiday Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Best song off Warning. Best song by Green Day (possibly. Well, my favorite song right now. It changes every month or so). | |
| Lucky Guess – What Can I do? Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| You know, you're pretty good at writing potential rap songs. | |
| Lucky Guess – Forgetful Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Makes no sense | |
| Lucky Guess – Dead Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Good. That's good. | |
| Good Charlotte – Girls and Boys Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
You know what I find funny? Just looking back over some of the first comments on this song (doubt anyone will use this site for over three years), but some people don't know who the members are, and then confuse them and make themselves seem like idiots. In the words of Mark Twain "It is better to keep one's mouth shut and to be thought a fool than it is to speak and to remove all doubt." That guy Xbright_eyesX thought the bassist also sang. They had the design of a five member band when this album was released (they didn't have a drummer), and so they had a vocalist, who ONLY SANG. I just find that's pretty funny. |
|
| Good Charlotte – Girls and Boys Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| It just occured to me that this osng isn't really all that heavy. That's probably because there's no rhythm guitar. And IRONxxxMAIDEN44, Travis Barker is an amazing and versitile drummer. Do you only like classic rock? You know, you're really closed-minded. Have you even heard the song? | |
| Crowned King – Impatience Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| One of the best bands ever. Good song. best on the album is Yours Truly or Unload. | |
