This is perhaps my favorite song as it is the song that got me into music. Yes, you may think that i was a deprived child (probabbly true :) ) but that is the way it is. It is, to me, quite excellent and the first thing that struck me was the use of a rhetorical device in modern culture ("Take my tongue It's cocked and loaded") (a metaphr/allusion). |

| This may seem alittle out there, but personally, this song seems to ring of the berlin wall coming down, although it must have been written before the fact as the album came out before August 1988. However, perhaps it has some relation to the events that lead up to the fall "wage war on myself" = internal conflicts and protests in DDR leading up to the fall of the wall that required the military to put down? I dont know, but this is what struck me when i first heard the song. | |
