It's about this relationship where the guy probably has a low self opinion of himself. The part of the lyrics where she says "You gotta love yourself if you can ever love me" pretty much sums up the guy's situation. Now she has broken up with him and he wants to change and will do whatever it takes to make that change so they can stay together again. Jason sings this with lots of passion and sincerity which make me think that this guy who's done wrong is genuine with his plea for help and change. I hope there's a part two to this song which can tell whether this guy can change and clean up his act. |
