This is a great song from a great aussie artist. The song itself can be taken in 2 ways in one respect it is about losing a friend or a loved one, and on the other hand it can be taken as the feeling when us aussies travel overseas and miss our families and friends and everything that IS Australian and how it gets to the degree that when you come off the plane from your trip you just want to kiss the ground cause you are home also it is around the ten day mark that the homesickness starts and you realise that no matter how far or where you go Australia is "the only one that feels like home" I think that the second interpretation is probably due to the fact that this song was written whilst Missy was backpacking through Europe (I believe) for a year and she was describing the feelings of seperation she had |
