I think it's sad that Jeff never wanted people to hear this song as it was so personal to him. It was intended to be on Grace, but he was always in 2 minds about it. But when the song 'So Real' was composed, he swapped it straight away. Forget Her was just gathering dust for 9 years, as it was only done in one take with only a few people who have ever heard it. But on the Legacy edition of Grace, his mother [as well as other people] wanted to share ALL of his music with his fan, and decided it was the right time to release Forget Her. Personally, I think it was the right choice to share this beautiful song with all of his fans, who I'm sure all have related to.

I reckon he finds talking to the girl intimidating, not being able to find the right words to say to her. Maybe they were just friends and he wanted to be a bit more.. "And the times we've had and the teams we're yet to see"

Melpomene is the Greek Godess of war. I think he's singing about she doesn't realise the pain she's putting people through including himself, but he'll stick by her. "You're my Melpomene" and "killing me with her sunshine " Just an idea? :) |

Being a huge metal fan, I can't stand Nirvana. This song is the best thing which were contributed by them! Nirvana are over rated and quite possibly the most boring band to listen to. This is just my opinion of course. |

I'm not sure what it's about. But his last chorus makes me want to cry. His voice is so passionate and full of emotion. Talent at it's highest. |
