UNKLE – Rabbit In Your Headlights Lyrics 20 years ago
I haven't thoroughly read the other comments, so please forgive me if this has already said.

I feel that this song is about the little guy, the guy who doesn't want to stand out and be popular, so he just follows his own path, and doesn't bother to change for anyone, no matter how many people think it's wrong.
In the video, this is represented in general by the man walking down the street and repeatedly getting hit by cars.

After being beaten down so much, the person just feels like there can't be any good in the world, so the person blocks out almost everything.
This is when the car stops to ask the guy if he wants a ride and is okay, and the guy just keeps walking.

Eventually, after being sunk down further and further within your own social boundaries, the person will get tired of it. There's no arguments there; you can only take so much abuse before you decide to fight back.
The man walking down the street finally gets fed up with being hit over and over again, and he takes a stance. This is when he stands in front of the car, arms outstretched, and the car crashes behind him.

This guy is, in a way, me. That's why I have the interpretation of the song that I do. The little guy, the pushover, is almost always the most dangerous, but no one realizes that, so they just keep shoveling out the abuse.

Please send me an email if you have anything to say about this comment.

Green Day – Only of You Lyrics 21 years ago
" theres a tear in my eye...i know this story all too well"

As do I, man. This seems to be the best song on 1039, but it's hard to pick because they're all so good. None of the other Green Day music that I've heard can compare to the songs from 1039. They're deep, lyrically emotional, all around great. It's too bad that today's music can't be as good as this.
